Here's the deal - the charges they have on the accountant are pretty minor. The state only has rights to $700k of the "misreported" income, the max penalty is 1 year in jail and fines, and there's zero precedent for the year in jail.
They'll settle this for the back taxes owed and nothing will happen. Again. Because Trump isn't an idiot, he's been getting free rectal exams from the IRS for decades. If he was doing something serious it wouldn't take $35MM, hundreds of interviews and 3 years to figure it out. He'd already be in a jumpsuit.
