Florida's coaching staff is taking advantage of a new opportunity to check out recruits beyond U.S. borders.
Thanks to a new rule, college coaches are allowed to attend the FIBA U17 World Championships for the first time. Gators associate head coach Dusty May is at the event in Zaragoza, Spain where Team USA, got off to a 3-0 start with wins over Chinese Taipei (119-45), Turkey (84-66) and Egypt (104-57).

There are also several high-level prospects playing for other countries at the event, including 6-foot-8 small forward Jaylen Hoard of France. Hoard was his team's MVP in the Jordan Brand Classic International Game.
