Game Day Vandy: The last obstacle on the way to Atlanta

We can't win much with Harris at QB. You can see why I said it awhile back that the QB job was never that close between Grier and Harris. Harris isn't a D1 QB. It's unforunate but I'm not sure even good coaching is gonna make that much of a difference with Harris.
We have 196 yards, which isn't good, but isn't that poor all things considered, Vandy's D is good. What I see as the biggest issue is we aren't consistent for ish. Treon has been meh, but the o-line is by far the bigger issue right now. How many yards have we run for, like 50? And every time we drop back there's a free rusher. On at least two occasions Treon ran out of a 10+ yard loss. Our o-line is getting handled something nasty and I did not see that coming.
we have 93 yards rushing. That isn't too bad. Treon has been much worse than "meh". He's looked about as good as Driskel. Harris has been awful. Yes pass protection has been bad also.

The officials are making it look like we are playing Bama, they are doing everything imaginable to help out Vandy in this game. They aren't even hiding it

I already knew treon was gonna be trash in this game against this defense. Im sick of watching him, he can't even get snaps off without the play clock winding all the way down and helping the defense jump EVERY SINGLE snap to their advantage. This is the same guy that LSU let throw all over them, bama is about to handle them.
we aren't losing this game because of the refs. We are losing because we have a QB that can't pass the ball and doesn't scare anybody and our pass protection has been spotty. Then we had the one defensive lapse but that is all it takes.
I wasn't including Harris's yards since most of those were scrambles and not design runs. Take those out and we're at around 60 yards which is blah.
I don't really think Treon has been 'bad.' What throw or decision has been bad? The 4th down? Let's look at that play. We call a rollout with exactly one passing option. As soon as he turns around off the fake the defensive end is right there. He has three decisions at that point. Throw it away which would be completely stupid since its 4th down, try to beat him to the corner which wasn't happening, or throw it up to his TE hoping he can make a play. That was the right decision giving the circumstances. Any of the first two decisions give Vandy the ball at midfield.
Vandy is forcing us to drive the field and we can't do it. Treon isn't the answer at QB, that much is obvious but we aren't losing this game now because of him. There hasn't been any WTF decisions or throws that stalled the offense. We can't run and we can't protect. That's the major issue. Idk what y'all expect the offense to do when that's the case. After the turnover we tried to take a deep shot and before the fake was completely Taylor had to pick up a completely free rusher who forced Treon to move out the pocket. The damn play fake wasn't even completed yet and they were back there. It ain't complicated. We can't protect long enough to take a deep shot so they know we have to throw short and they're covering those routes. We don't have any other options to go to unless we start running it down their throat.

Well we are through a cycle and 2/3 and the only QB coming on campus via Mac is not even the starter at his high school and is slower than most of our OL. So you better hope Grier stays for his fifth yeat and stays out of GNC.
And yes, you are exaggerating how bad it has been. Out OL hasn't been this bad in weeks.
Feleipe Franks is in Gville as we speak. Luke Del Rio will be the starter next year if Grier's suspension is upheld. Del Rio is better than Harris. The coaching staff was hoping Del Rio would have become eligible this year.
You guys are over complicating it. Even when Grier was starting we had games where we were running for 2.9, 3 ypc which is pathetic. We still moved the ball at an above average level though because Grier was a good enough passer. And even then he was taking a beating dropping back. Now we can't run and we have a QB who is not as good of a passer, so the offense is stalling. Everyone blames the QB.

Here is the good news: We can still back into the SEC East. Back into an accidental score today or hope Vandy loses another
yes our Oline isn't very good. We knew that. That isn't a surprise. Unfortunately Harris is really bad though. He just doesn't look comfortable at all. He's never been an accurate passer. That was a given but now he's not doing anything good at all.

I think the pass rush is getting to him, he's running around like he has his head cut off. I honestly just don't even know what we have to go to. We can't do anything which is why I keep harping on the run game. It's the ONLY thing that could fix any of these issues. If they start committing to it a few easy throwing windows open, MAYBE we can get them to bit on a playaction or something and steal cheap points. Otherwise we ain't scoring.
To your credit Pele, you were right about him coming out of HS. But Fulwood still sucks
