I watched this game off and on while I was on Lake Istokpoga. Trust me the current issues has nothing to do with Harris. This OLine has been luck, very luck, that other positions are stepping up to the plate this season. The OLine suck bad...
Oh come on man.
This is the same mentality that pissed me off the last 4-5 years.
Way too many people believe it's all or nothing when it comes to problems.
The OL is struggling. There's no depth basically no experience.
Treon is inaccurate on 90% of his passes and he's incredibly unsure what he is seeing. He's afraid to pull the trigger on wide open receivers and isn't anticipating timing routes.
We have a kicking game that is simply waiting to cost us a game.
Due to these problems, our play calling has become very fun shy and ultimately predictable. You can hate on Nuss all you want but what are you going to do when you have a QB that can't consistently pass, and a line that can't control the line of scrimmage for the run game and are miserable against the pass rush? No matter what you think about Nuss, you also know Mac is involved, and the fact that they can't seem to figure out a single way to work around these compounding issues is a sign of how the players are deteriorating.
And the injuries are getting silly.
Our bright spots on offense are in Callaway, Townsend, Taylor, and especially McGee.
That's one thing Grier knew, and maybe Treon figured it out after MCGEE won us the game today. McGee is a straight gamer and a huge safety blanket for young QBs. It's no coincidence that our offense has struggled without Grier and at the same time, McGee has practically disappeared.
