FSU Amends ACC Lawsuit…

As the only remaining member of the RRT, let me just say:

Every fanbase has it's a-holes. SMU fans were throwing beer bottles at FSU players DURING the game, then trying to start fights with kids and elderly after the game.
There are many Gator fans I hate being around at BHG in Gainesville, like the idiot who kept crying for Lagway during the UF-Miami game. He would never shut up until other Gator fans told him to do so. He left with his shirt off for some reason. As for the SMU and FSU fans, I guess that's what being justifiably left out of the CFP along with a 2-10 record the following season and the fact SMU will never get back to the level of the Eric Dickerson/Craig James days will do to both teams.

I was at the SMU game and they stopped it twice to address fans throwing stuff at the players. After the game they tried picking a fight with an elderly man with a cane AND my 11-year old son. It was mostly a bunch of rich, entitled white kids. It made scUM and UGA fans look classy.

Dallas, San Antonio and Houston are the main areas I hated passing thru.

Well what do you expect from a school where the ultra rich send their kids (if they don’t go to USC) and the yearly tab is about $90K? And that’s BEFORE the dues to their fraternity or sorority?

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Under the old CFP format it was about conference and $$$. Now it's just about the $$$ (and this fixes much of that for the time being). Otherwise it's "Win and you're in."

Personally, I'd like to see ND become a full ACC member and I think that and a good UNC (and FSU) could elevate the ACC. The ACC is certainly no B12, IMO.

Personally, I hate what's happening in college sports, especially football. The SEC and Big 10 are on the edge of making all other conferences irrelevant in college football.

They seriously need to tone back the portal unless a player has no shot of ever playing at their current college or they are 5th year seniors. The NIL is a serious CF and college athletics will never be the same again. There should be limits on how much an "amateur" can get from that. Otherwise, college sports are just a farm league for the pros.

College sports have always been farm leagues, and paid farm leagues at that. It's just the payment went from below the table to above the table, which allowed for increases in the payments. Right now, we have players actually staying for their fourth year because they can make money in college. Is it worse than a world where the best cheaters win all the titles?

What it is, is unbridled capitalism, and a look at what the NFL might be like without the CBA.

LG I agree with this point. I'm not a fan of the wild wild west of the NIL, but I do like it keeping kids in school. The transfer portal is doing more damage in my humble opinion. Need some tighter rules around both.
