Star receiver for Louisiana and then LSU the past couple years. Was facing charges of negligent homicide due to a car wreck he caused while speeding.

Saw on Facebook but there is nothing on Google about this. Last news was when he was arrested for the vehicular accident. Not sure if real or fake. If real what a sad story for this guy. I remember he taunted us last year on a play in which offensive PI was called and the crowd went wild when they called it. Other than that he was a great talent that couldn’t figure it out and let his stature ruin his life.

A few bigtime Louisiana reporters have confirmed

Radio said his case was headed to a grand jury on Mon. Sounded like a pretty tight case against.

It really is. The kid made a big mistake and killed a 78 year old man because of recklessness. He was very likely looking at jail time and decided he'd rather not do that. Facing 8-10 years in prison would scare the crap out of anybody but you don't have to end your life because of it. He could have gotten out of prison in his early 30's and had his whole life still to live.

He was running from LEO's stemming from another incident

"According to Harris County authorities, police responded to a call from a female family member who said Lacy had discharged a firearm into the ground during a verbal argument late Saturday night. When they arrived on the scene, they learned that the suspect, Lacy, had fled in a vehicle.

Authorities say their pursuit of Lacy ended when he crashed. They say that when officers approached the vehicle to extract Lacy, he had died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound."

Tragic all the way around, not only for Lacy’s family but for the family of the innocent 78-year old victim of his irresponsible driving. I hope, in vain I fear, this story becomes a core review before every gathered college football team this spring. Especially in Athens, though it’s needed everywhere. Sad story.

Sad for all involved. This one probably hits Napier because it looks like he recruited him and he played for him. Lool like he left after Napier did at ULL and he headed to LSU
