Sorry, I did not read your first statement well enough. I went back and corrected my error. I thought you asserted the officiating did not change from the first to second half in your first sentence when you did in your second
Gonzaga has been getting the calls all tournament, if it's the same they will beat them easily and wont miss every shot to do whatever it takes to lose like us every single regional final
White had nothing to do with them jacking up bullshit bricks and the pathetic defense. They played like the losers they always show up with in the elite 8, period dot... Played yet another 3rd 2nd half in this game like flat out losers with the officials on top of it and you get beat by what you were up by going into the half. As soon as they took the lead early in the 2nd half I said we would be lucky to finish within 6 and i was spot on, because every Gator game like that is so easy to see coming miles away...
Well, when they are guarding the perimeter and you don't take advantage of pounding it inside, hard to get clean shots off out there. I thought this was quite obvious midway through the second half. We never adjusted. To make matters worse, White doubled down and didn't have anyone post in the middle, PERIOD, in the last 5 minutes. I can understand doing something like that to open up driving lanes and mess with the other team's minds for a few sets but continue that insanity when it's not working?
Don't take this as criticism of White, he's pretty young and I'm glad he's our coach. I think this team overachieved, loss of Egbuno and no experienced bigs lowers the ceiling. I personally think Gator basketball is going to be a force going forward with White.
I agree with that. This was his first NCAA tournament and his sixth overall. He has shown he is capable of learning.
One thing I really like about him is that he does not dodge tough questions. After the UW squeaker, he addressed taking the air out of the ball too soon and not fouling before that last three pointer that tied the game.
Honestly, on that last point, I think he made the right decision. Chiozza had lock down coverage and when the ball was shot, I thought there was no way it would go in.

Here it is. The shots we made in the first half, which I didn't see anyone complaining about even though they were playing the same 3-2 zone, we missed in the second.
Refs were terrible. They let everybody, particularly USC, get away with murder in the first half. And then we're in the bonus in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd. Ridiculous.
I know you saw them bury our two big men THREE seconds from each other on our side of the god damn court in the SAME possession with no whistle... Yet, Chiozza gets a foul late in the shot clock for having a human body out there in the way... Something has to be done about us getting treated like a hs team, and no one ever even brings it up.. And there's a reason we always resort to jacking up 3's when getting f'd in the ass by the kentucky's and everyone we play because we get nothing when we drive into piledrivers putting Allen out of the game and into the locker room already in the first half and D Rob getting all but punched in the face with a full swing the one time we go to the basket. It's a travesty and people have to stop calling it bitching when you call it out, if we even hit two threes we would have been playing with a 5-6 point lead or more after that chiozza steal and lay in to go up before the under 4.. Same way we are the most penalized team in football since 1990 every year, and have our former coaches leave to coach the bottom feeders of the conference and point out how it's a Florida thing even while at SC and not getting near the same penalties against his team. I guess Muschamp just magically learned to "clean it up" as a head coach, quickly. Im so tired of even having to bring it up, I thought Wisconsin was bad, you can never underestimate what our kids are forced to deal with and overcome as young men, they deserve better and so do the teams that play all the blue bloods getting the same damn treatment. You guys can call me an excuse maker or biased all you want but I call it out for every team in all sports and even when it finally occurs for us like it did against Virginia and look what happened, we routed them when it finally went our way and forced UVA to do things they never want to do like us most games with the way the game is called...

I know everyone can see it, no matter who you root for, I had a college buddy watching the last two games with me and they can't believe what they are witnessing because they are so used to watching bama games and never dealing with it. This was the game that not having Egbunu really hurt us. This would have been a much different game if he was available. It would have forced USCjr to take more outside shots and that would have meant less points in the paint and less FTs. They were just able to exploit a weakness we knew we had. It shouldn't be surprising that we lost due to a lack of an interior defensive presence.

It was fantastic. Perfectly tender and juicy. Slow cooking it is key. A nice side of roasted asparagus and garlic bread to go with it. No celebratory bourbon, but a nice Malbec wine to wash it down and relax.
Congratulations to South Carolina. Honestly, we just couldn't stop them inside. And our scoring was fragile and inconsistent. You can bitch about the officiating, but the truth is, South Carolina deserved it.
