Starting to think now Whittingham has known since camp started that Rising isn't going to play against us. Rising apparently has only really been doing basic passing drills and hasn't played at all in either scrimmage even with a non-contact jersey. Meanwhile all the 1st team practice snaps have supposedly been going to the backups up until this point with just a couple of practices to go. Whittingham also made his backup QBs live in the first scrimmage to see how they would hold up in real game conditions - probably to determine who he was going to start against us. With his game so dependent on his scrambling it seems unlikely he would let him go from just doing passing drills to starting against us.
I'll ask again, just like when you thought Cam Rising would doom us, and then recently that Cam Rising being out would doom us because that means more running game and our secondary is so awful we won't be able to stop the run, is there literally any scenario that makes you optimistic for us?
Because I'm waiting for it. Most people would be excited that the starting QB won't be there, but you have great ideas as to how this will somehow be even worse.
Thoughts on recruiting, btw? Because we all know recruiting ends in August.
But I do t see you parading our class, Eyerore.
BREAKING NEWS: The Entire Utah starting lineup on both sides of the ball have been deemed ineligible for their game against the Florida Gators.
Fever: Wow, well if that's true, Whittingham will have the rest of the team galvanized against us, he's such a great coach. This is bad news. Now I really don't see a way we could win. I hate to say it, but Brown better be ready because Mertz doesn't stand a chance against Utah's second team defense. I thought 6 wins was optimistic but now 5 wins sounds like a dream. Utah is just too much. Oh woe is me, whatever shall we do?
