I come in peace but have to chime in on two things.

1. Saying a UK loss is like a Vandy loss is a ridiculous thing to say. That’s disrespectful to Stoops who has built a competitive program. He’s gone to 7 strait bowls and has two 10 win seasons in the last 5. Are we a playoff caliber program? No, but to act like we’re still a 2-10 program is absurd. The fact of that matter is we’re up and Florida has come back to the pack.

2. Having said that, Stoops was given time to build a program and change the culture. Florida is never going to be the program they were with a carousel of head coaches. You have to give someone time to implement their program. Urban or the old ball coach aren’t walking through that door.

Stoops has indeed done a good job. No question. But the reality is in his first 10 season he has 0 east titles. The KY and Vandy comparison is very appropriate as Vandy is the only other east team to have never been to Atlanta. Vandy did get a W against KY just last year, so it's not that far fetched. Franklin did a really good job at Vandy during his tenure. KY and Vandy haven't risen to Florida's "level". The hard reality is that Florida has sunk to Vandy and KY levels. Now we hope for a 7-5 middle of the pack season. As to your second point, I agree. Florida will never get back to championship level with the constant revolving coaching door. Hell, Jim McElwain won 2 east titles and we showed him the door.

Right now, we are not good. I was hoping, after the improvement after the Utah game we were on an upswing, but that was fool's gold. But recruiting is the key, if BN continues to improve the recruiting and is willing to change the staff as needed to improve performance, we will get there.

Watched some of the film review of the defense. A lot of the issues were players taking bad angles etc. when they were responsible for that area. The linebackers and DBs were getting worked by that RB. DBs getting too far up the field thinking they may get a sack when the QB is handing off to the RB taking themselves out of the play. Our DTs looked like they mostly did their jobs except for a couple of plays.

I doubt the rating is high at all in the ones that look at effective passing like the newer QBR. This mess Napier is running is a complete joke. Its mostly on Napier but you can see Mertz doesnt want to pull the trigger a lot downfield unless he really feels safe doing it. It sticks out on the Charlotte and KY film.
