4* CB Devin Moore to UF - Good pickup. Was committed to ND for quite awhile. Old staff recruited him but kind of dropped the ball. New staff went after him and was able to reel him in.

4* TE Tony Livingston - Old staff was recruiting him to play OT but he doesn’t want to play there. He dropped a lot of weight as he also plays basketball. New staff said he can start off at TE.

FWIW the SEC is likely going to dominate the day again as usual. Now you have Texas A&M recruiting off the charts with the likes of Bama and UGA.

Paco, TOS, which is pretty much the Church of Billy, thinks Livingston was a terrible take? You have any insight into him?

Do you think Moore in any way is a hint Kamari is a definite no? I know you don’t believe we can pull an IMG kid, just curious.

I don’t know much about Livingston to be honest. There were rumors we weren’t going to take him. Moore has no relation to Kamari Wilson IMO. We are in the game for Kamari but he is an IMG kid so we know how that goes.

Here's the 247Sports analysis of Livingston:
Below is 247Sports player evaluation on Livingston:

Owns an athletic, naturally wide frame. Appears to have some length in the arms. On the leaner side for a future offensive lineman, but should be able to pack on the right weight at the next level. One of the more unique prospects in the Sunshine State for the 2022 cycle given athletic background. A gifted basketball player that used to carry the ball up the court before eventually getting more looks in the post as his body started to mature. Initially started high school football career off as a jumbo wide receiver before quickly transitioning to tight end. Totaled over 900 receiving yards between sophomore and junior seasons. Adequate route runner with soft hands, but viewed by many college recruiters as a future right or left tackle given how he moves down the field. Extremely raw from a technical standpoint, which likely stems from the fact that he doesn’t have much experience blocking outside of occasionally chipping at an end. Can quickly establish a firm base. Does a nice job of running his feet and finding some power once engaged with his target. Must, however, get more accurate with his initial punch and find a lower pad level in hopes of gaining more leverage. Will also need to get much more aggressive at the point of attack. A project at this stage in his development, but has an extremely high ceiling if everything comes together as he’s incredibly coordinated for someone of his stature.

The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Livingston as the Nation's No. 291 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class and No. 23 ranked offensive tackle in the 2022 recruiting class. While he is ranked as an offensive lineman, we have heard that he will be more of a jumbo athlete/tight end at Florida.

Whatever mess A&M is now pulling with NIL seems to be working.

Yeah, we've lost about 7-8 guys to the transfer portal. Only one of them surprised me because he was in line to be the second-string DE in the fall. The other guys frankly weren't likely to see the field very much.

We've picked up a fifth-year OG from Auburn, and working on a WR from Virginia Tech.

I still think the Bama/UGa monster recruiting will lead to the most sustained success.

However, there is now an avenue to get good without top 5 classes. If you grabbed the right 10 kids out of the portal and had decent talent you could flip your script overnight

Sounds like Kamari and several others may follow
It would be comical at this point if a few others follow. NIL is a death blow to college football and kids are very short sighted. I wonder if in a few years when companies or whoever realize they aren’t getting a return on their NIL investment will it calm down a bit?

Would be nice to get Shemar James when he announces later this afternoon. Quality LB is a huge need. Also, DE Quency Wiggins, who the Gators were pursuing, signed with LSU this morning.

Not sure I agree - I mean, get the money and if you are THAT good - hell you can still to to a big time program next year. I kind of don't see the downside to be honest - thoughts?

How many of these recruits are getting big money because of this show or are rumored to be getting a big payout if they go to Jackson State?

Not sure - that's the rumor. But if you are getting a few hundred grand up front (or more - who knows)...take the money and go. If J-State can't develop you or you think your NFL stock is slipping, go to another school next year.
