The Gators coaching staff is well aware of what is being said about the recruiting class on social media and message boards.
These three guys just didn't happen to make three independent decisions to make their commitments public this week. You can bet that with the two week long dead period beginning on Monday the Florida staff wanted to build a little momentum and kill some of the background clutter and to do so pushed all three of these commits to go public.
Negativity festers and breeds when left to its own devices. Two weeks of that unchecked would have been hurtful heading into the summer doldrums.
However, now, after these commits the Florida fan base is probably about as high as they have been since landing five-stars CeCe Jefferson and Martez Ivey back in January of 2015.
That matters because you can see it on the Internet. These prospects live on social media and now there isn't a constant drumbeat of negativity on Facebook, Twitter, IG or message boards.
