I still believe he is the leading candidate just based on what I have been told. Not sure of probability but higher than anybody else right now.

It just so happens our most successful coaches (Spurrier & Meyer) were not those type of guys. While the guys that have not been good coaches were the guys that had a more open line.
Kelly is much like Spurrier and Meyer. They just want to coach and play football. They don't want anything to do with what I will call the "other stuff". Saban doesn't enjoy doing all that "other stuff" either. At some point you have to make a decision on how badly do you really want to win.

I would think so. If Kelly is hired I think we keep Corral and end up with a pretty decent class for a newly hired coach.
Alright, so I just got some more juicy bits from my buddy who actually flew with the team and the UAA to Columbia, SC this past weekend......he said he was told by some high ups while they were doing shots that Kelly is the guy. I cannot contain my giddiness now.
Won’t be announced today. Most likely in the next 48 hours. Stricklin will not take away from opening night of Gators basketball.
While my 1st choice was to get Frost, I'd rather have Kerwin Bell than either Strong or the cow-Chip... (cow-Chip = old, used up BS)

Wasn't Frost with them when the sanctions stuff took place? I think the NCAA even said that there was nothing to show Kelly was aware of most of that stuff and it wasn't that huge of a sanction anyway. I don't even think Oregon missed a bowl game or anything for it.
I luke frost, but not certain 2 years at a directional school trumps 4 years as HC at a power 5 conference.

You're 100% correct... this is Insta we're talking about...guy is a few cards short on the deck. I like Frost too but Chip Kelly is by far the best coach for hire at the moment. This isn't even a discussion. He's also maybe the best candidate that was open for hire the last 2 times we've had the HBC position available. Hiring him would be huge!
While I also don't really want Strong, I'd take him ahead of the cow-Chip any day and twice on Saturdays...

At this point, IF TRUE, then the UF $$$ Alums are looking like Dan 'The Snake' Snyder. They will continue to ruin with their interference, what was built up over may long decades by the every-day, loyal Gator fans. A real shame imoho.
