If you go by the NCAA, Auburn football has been on probation a whopping one time since 1980...which is almost 40 years ago. That one time was in the early 1990's... Which is now over 25 years ago. Georgia football and basketball have both been on probation more recently than Auburn football
I think Auburn finished with the fourth best recruiting class just in the western division this past year. Alabama, LSU, and Texas A&M all finished ahead of us.
I am not sure there is a way to judge the biggest cheaters with 100 percent accuracy, but a team that finishes with the fourth best recruiting class in the western division is probably not the biggest cheaters.
Despite all of our alleged cheating, Auburn had really never come close to the kind of recruiting classes Georgia has had under Kirby Smart
Only 6 or 7 teams have finished with over 300 points in the 247 sports recruiting poll. Georgia has done it the last three years in a row.
Other teams that have done it are Alabama, Ohio State, Florida, Southern Cal, and maybe Texas. All of those teams had won at least one national championship in the previous 5 or 10 years
Georgia is the only team to finish with over 300 points in this recruiting poll without winning a national championship in the previous 5 or 10 years
Auburn's highest point total ever in this poll was like 270 of 280 points
