Carson Beck....

No, but I'm pretty sure that you're a totally ignorant buttsniffin' leghumpin' nuttlicker... o_O
Touche... but it certainly wouldn't be the first time you were wrong. :D
Are you still saying Beck isn't from JAX? I'm not sure what you're saying.

Get mommy to splain it to ya, I ain't got the time or interest to do so...

Ocala, are you really this clueless, or are you just being a turd to me lately?

Jacksonville is ALL OF DUVAL Co. City of Jacksonville is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Florida and the largest city by area in the contiguous United States. It is the seat of Duval County, with which the city government consolidated in 1968.

The freakin' city became the entire county. Tell me.are Bellview, Citra, etc. also Ocala??? o_O
What does that have to do with anything? I lived in and around Jacksonville for 23 years before moving to Ocala and know it as well as I do Marion County. Mandarin is not a city or a town. It is a section or neighborhood in the south part of the city of Jacksonville that borders St. Johns County. The Providence School (where Beck played his freshman and sophomore years) is on Hodges Blvd. in another part of Jacksonville, FL. Furthermore, the city of Jacksonville is not the entire county of Duval. Baldwin, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach are their own cities within Duval County. Yes, the city of Jacksonville is very large geographically. But you said that Carson Beach is not from Jacksonville. That is simply not a true statement, unless you have information that he is from somewhere else. By your response, it appears that you don't. I'm not trying to treat you in a negative way. Just trying to get facts straight and if I was wrong in my knowledge I was asking for information so I could understand what is true.

We should make it a rule on this Board that anybody getting too excited either positively or negatively about 2020 recruiting rankings is required to have a private one hour consultation with Gator Fever prior to being allowed to post...
Tbh, your players should probably have to sit with you for a few hours for some pre-combine coaching. You seem very sensible. Mr. Polite, not so much.

Jacksonville is NOT all of Duval County, Insta. You can put all the posts up here you like and it doesn't change the facts. Baldwin, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and Jacksonville Beach are all incorporated cities with their own city governments within Duval County. They are NOT part of Jacksonville. When you click on the link you posted above, the first page that comes up shows the 5 incorporated cities within Duval County - Baldwin, Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Jacksonville and Neptune Beach. Note that Mandarin is not a separate city of its own and, thus, the people who live in those neighborhoods live in JACKSONVILLE!! In addition to the Mandarin section of town, there are over 200 other sections of the city that have been given names over the years for whatever reason. All cities have named sections of town and Mandarin is just a neighborhood within Jacksonville.

As for you remarks about Marion County, Citra, Belleview, Dunnellon and several other cities within the county are their own incorporated cities with their own town governments, just like the 5 cities in Duval County. Ocala and Marion County have not tried to expand and incorporate other towns or areas into their city limits. So people who live in Ocala, Citra, Belleview, Dunnellon, Anthony, Reddick, Lowell, Sparr, Oklawaha, etc. within Marion Co. all have those towns as their address. But no matter where you look you will find that all addresses in the Mandarin area are Jacksonville addresses. There is no such place as Mandarin, Florida. It is just a part of Jacksonville and has been for 50 years.

With that aside, you made a statement that Carson Beck in not from Jacksonville. That is a false statement. Mandarin is not an incorporated town or city and has been a section of the city of Jacksonville since 1968. I know the Mandarin area well. I have friends who live there, I have played tennis there, shopped there and I can tell you that people who live there consider themselves citizens of Jacksonville. They vote in Jacksonville elections, they don't have their own government or taxes. The zip codes that service the people in the Mandarin area are Jacksonville zip codes. Those are just facts, man. And yet when obvious misstatements are pointed out you just resort to personal attacks. Tiresome.

Well, let’s be honest...they ain’t all rocket scientists...

https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/03/jachai-polite-combine-40-time-interviews

Never been one to be shy about calling out players but that article was dumb. First they insinuate he faked an injury, how do they know? Then they portray the answers to the questions THEY asked him about what teams asked him like he was being a crybaby. He answered them honestly and said it’s the teams jobs to get to know his character, just that they didn’t really talk football with him. His interviews are up on NFL.com and they leave out portions of it. This is why I hate the media, they create stories rather than report the news.

How long to walk from Mandarin to the Landing?
Why no answer to that question?

Go ask anyone that lives in Mandarin if they are from Jacksonville.
I don't mind that YOU think that Mandarin is in Jacksonville.
It's in Duval Co / Jacksonville, I'll give you that much.
Location, location, location... (that is all...)

PS

Tebow was from Jacksonville too...

Let's be real. All this one is worth is some chest pounding and bragging rights. It was an easy sell for Georgia, everyone expects Fromm to go pro after this year in a weak QB class. Florida's QB room has more competition so he made a business decision. Sure I would have liked to have seen him in our class but we'll be fine.
I honestly don’t think Fromm leaves. Just a gut feeling that he’s gonna be a 4 yr guy

You are correct that there is something odd about they way that article is framed...

Wiki it Insta: “Mandarin is a neighborhood located in the southernmost portion of Jacksonville

If you have an inkling of understanding of English and logic, then you will understand that a neighborhood that is IN a city, is therefore a subset of that city. Folk living there might want to *say* Mandarin is different from Jax, but I’ll bet they are subject to all of the city ordinances of Jax

In answer to you nonsensical question about how long it would take to walk from the Mandarin area to the Landing in downtown Jax: About the same amount of time it would take to walk from the Marion Oaks section of Ocala to the Silver Springs Shores section of Ocala. As if that means anything.

Like I said before Insta, I know people who live in the Mandarin neighborhood and they know and say they live in Jacksonville. Just like people who live in the Avondale, San Jose, San Marco, Normandy, Baymeadows, Ortega, Arlington, Riverside, etc., etc. neighborhoods all live in Jacksonville. We are all entitled to our own opinions, but we are not entitled to our own facts. You had 2 beliefs/opinions that were not factual and I gave you evidence to prove that. What you do with that is up to you, but when a person is presented with evidence that contradicts their beliefs/opinions, they have 2 options:
1. Change their opinion to conform to the facts
2. Continue believing false information and in repeating this now known false opinion they perpetuate a lie.

You said that Carson Beck does not live in Jacksonville. That is factually not true. You said that all of Duval County is the city of Jacksonville. That is factually not true.

What you do with those facts is up to you.

There's no evidence of that.

We're getting beat on the trail for now - it happens.
There is plenty of reason to believe Georgia is cheating if you follow the news

It was Georgia boosters who pushed Richt out and hired Kirby Smart.

They never went after a big name coach. Kirby Smart was the choice to replace Richt from the start.

His first move as Georgia coach was to lobby the state legislature to weaken the sunshine laws in the state. This would make it easier for the Georgia football program to hide their activities.

You then have an unprecedented level of recruiting success

This is the stupidest argument I've seen on this board, so I felt I had to jump in. Mandarin is a neighborhood in Jacksonville. Thank you for your attention.

I don't know what is more entertaining. The geography arguement between Gator fans or Dawg fans pounding their chest for validation they got Beck.

As @oozie7 stated, Beck won't fit this system.

Sure, it would have been great to get him because it would have been one less weapon for UGA. However it would not have been a smooth transition at UF. It just wouldn't.

Beck will probably go on to do good things at Georgia. Hell he could go 4-0 vs UF. However he would not have went 4-0 at UF vs UGA. It's just a round peg in a square hole. Another DT spread QB could go 4-0 at UF vs UGA.

You guys got him, he will make y'all better. We didn't get him...he wouldn't have made UF better.

I used to be in your shoes when Richt was our coach. It sucks, but you’ll get used to it. Excuses are like a**holes by the way.

TLDR - Mullen is a moron for recruiting a kid that does not fit his system. Got it.

Every coach does it. Players transfer constantly because they weren't the right fit for the system or the system wasn't the right fit for them. Justin Fields for example. The list can go on.

Honestly I didn't understand the recruitment of Beck. Last year Mullen pretty much let Corral off due to the fact he wasn't the right fit and vice versa. Why he went after a pocket QB beats me. Honestly good thing it is super early in the process and not a lot of time was invested.

No, no they don't. Coaches have very little time and soooo many recruits to visit. They would not waste the time, money, or resources to recruit someone they think will not help their team or contribute significantly at some point.

If you are saying Mullen does this, then I will not dispute that. But competent head coaches do not practice this.

LOL... we are laughing.

You pay. And so do other schools. You’re naive or ignorant to think otherwise. I have several friends who coach HS in the state, one of them just sent kids to Auburn, and UGA offered incentives as did Auburn. Everybody is paying but you guys are out recruiting them all and doing it clean? Seems legit.

He has done it once from what it seems. At UF anyway. Didn't really follow his recruiting at Mississippi State and don't care, that is irrelevant.

Urban Meyer who can go down as one of the greatest did such with John Brantley. Also seems like he recruited some JUCO way back when sometime around 07 or so that was a pocket passer. Smart did such with Justin Fields. It happens. Some coaches recruit small scat backs when they run a pound it out offense. Some recruit big backs when they run a spread type offense that features small backs. Some recruit bigger physical TE's when they usually use a athletic type of TE...vice versa.

As I stated Mullen cut ties with Corral last class. It didn't fit either one. Don't lie and say it never happens.

Driving distance from JAX to Mandarin, FL - Travelmath
www.travelmath.com/drive-distance/from/JAX/to/Mandarin,+FL
Driving distance from JAX to Mandarin, FL.
The total driving distance from JAX to Mandarin, FL is 36 miles or 58 kilometers..

Jacksonville TO Mandarin,,, absolutely are the same place,,, obviously... o_O

Oh BTW,,,,
Distance from Gainesville, FL to Ocala, FL is 38 Miles or 60 Km.

Not sure what distance has to do with squat. Maybe “driving”’distance is 36 miles, but as the crow flies, Mandarin is approx 12.63 miles from downtown Jax on Google Earth.

Jax is 875 square miles, or an approx circle of 16.6 mile radius, 12.63 miles fits easily in 16.6 mile radius. But then “travelmath” didn’t really do the math for you, did it?

PS - if you’re wondering, Jax is the largest city in continental US by area

Just so we are clear...he is an Auburn fan. Not that it matters anything just pointing it out.
Ohsfan28 is an Auburn fan? LOL... that's even sweeter. That program has been on probation more than any program in NCAA history. Their meltdown over George Pickens on signing day was epic. :D
