How many times did richt sweep the east, dominate Florida, and recruit #1 classes? I’d argue that the SEC was way down when Richt took over. I mean, he beat Arkansas in the SEC Championship game for god’s sake...
I don’t recall anyone saying we wouldn’t lose this season. Defending our coach doesn’t mean we’re proclaiming to be the best team ever. Expectations are always high when you recruit #1 classes. Why shouldn’t they be?

He took over a soft program and got them to the national title game in year two. Dabo lost 16 games in his first 3 years. Clemson has never struggled with talent either. I think Kirby will be fine.

You all may not have said you’ll go undefeated but it’s certainly been inferred by insisting your defense is immovable and your OLine is impenetrable and you’re outrecruiting Bama coming into year three. But since bowl season y'all have downplayed UF's victory over Michigan every which way to the point of now even calling them a bad or overrated team when fact of the matter is they're a much better team than Texas by damn near every metric. As far as leadership goes, you're right that it doesn't happen overnight. Kirby's first class will now be seniors so we'll see what we have. We had a vacuum of sorts last year. His first elite class will now be juniors so it's about time for us to make some noise. I think we will. I have us losing 1 regular season game this year and winning the SEC and making the CFP.

I actually had to think about it. Eason was his first QB, but he flipped Fromm from Bama in March.
Not if Fromm leaves you won't be. Your backup QB is a former walk-on and he's backed up by a true freshman project. If Fromm leaves your QB position will be really meh. So unless somebody like Beck is a Trevor Lawrence type you aren't winning with that.
