LOL How’s that first round looking now? LOL

You try to warn people...
Not only that but Carson Beck has been a huge disappointment in his senior season in high school and has dropped like a rock and doesn’t look good.

LOL even when they think they’ve won they’ve lost. This fanbase. I really wish they’d not dodged us in 60s and dropped the series.

Not the case at all. They lost like 16 or 17 seniors from last year. Beck was running for his life all year. He was literally dodging defenders as soon as he caught the snap. He's going to be fine... and he's already with the team for bowl practices.
What we know... Beck has a cannon and he moves well.

Warn what? Fromm may still go pro. He hasn't reached a decision. As a Gator fan, you should hope he leaves early.
You think he’s going first round if he goes? If he goes at this point it’s probably an indictment on the OC you were warned about as well.

Dawg in Irag,

Hell yes ! Fromm leaving early & UGA having to play an inexperienced QB could cause early season defeats.

2020 Dawgs get bit; Alabama joins Auburn on schedule ! Bama on the road; Auburn at home.

2021 Gators get chomped; Alabama joins LSU on Gator's schedule ! Bama at home; LSU in Death Valley.

"...The Bulldogs will open the season in a Monday night game against Virginia at the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta on Sept. 7.

UVA an unknown quantity - Orange Bowl & next year as well.

After a game against FCS foe ETSU, Georgia will open its SEC schedule on the road against Alabama in the Bulldogs rotating cross-over game."

UGA won't be favored in this game no matter who plays QB; will probably get trashed !

Here’s the full Georgia 2020 schedule:
  • Sept. 7 Virginia (Atlanta)
  • Sept. 12 ETSU
  • Sept. 19 @ Alabama
  • Sept. 26 UL-Monroe
  • Oct. 3 Vanderbilt
  • Oct. 10 Auburn
  • Oct. 17 @ Missouri
  • Oct. 24 Open Date
  • Oct. 31 Florida (Jacksonville)
  • Nov. 7 @ South Carolina
  • Nov. 14 Tennessee
  • Nov. 21 @ Kentucky
  • Nov. 28 Georgia Tech
In 2019 UGA's 1st 3 games were Vandy, Murray State, & Arkansas State, then a somewhat over-rated Notre Dame between the hedges.

2019 - UGA played Auburn in 10th game on Nov 16th.
2020 - UGA plays Auburn in 6th game on Oct 10th.

Could make a huge difference ! UGA could be 4-3 (2-2 in SEC) coming into Jacksonville !

I don't see him going in the first round although McShay had him at 27 recently. I'm thinking 2nd or 3rd, but I hope he returns and gets straightened out. He was at 70% going into the SC game and has always played very well against Florida.
I can't argue on Coley's behalf at this point.
Coley called really good games the second half of the season but Fromm regressed and the offense was out of sync... horrible execution and missed so many plays that were there to be made, that falls on Coley imo. Yes, I admit a few Gators and Seminoles called it before the season.

I'd feel much better with Fromm returning going into Tuscaloosa. I'm not too worried about Virginia or Auburn in Athens. Bama on the road and you guys in JAX are our toughest games imo. Our defense is going to be very good again. If Fromm goes pro, look for the Dawgs to get a grad xfer at QB... just my opinion.
Bama may lose a ton to the draft as well as be without Tua. It wouldn't hurt my feelings. Next year is Gus's 5 loss year. Gusistency has been like clockwork losing at least 5 games in even years and we've had Auburn's number for a while now. I think we're something like 11-3 against them recently and they lose a ton next year on both sides of the ball.

He can stay. He can go. It don't matter as long as Coley has a rich and long tenure that rivals that of Mark Richt's at Georgia.

That said, he may be more NFL bound than I previously would have though alas. If the NFL has proven anything to me, it doesn't care a crap about it's fans who pay the bills, and it will take just about ANYONE as a quarterback. Noodle arm matt stafford who couldn't ever throw the ball past 20 yards got a job there, I'm sure someone can make room for mascara-boy. Girl. errr is he one of those they-thems? I dunno. Georgia fans would. It would explain all the eye makeup he wears during games.

Was it McShay or Kiper that called Jeff George the next Joe Montana? I always get those two weathermen confused.

To answer this in November 2020...No

He hasn't even broken the depth chart behind a midget, a gimp, and a rock skipper.

I didn't really want him then, and couldn't fathom why we were pushing Anthony Richardson's buttons chasing a guy that didn't have the mobility required to properly run a Dan Mullen offense.

Of course, that was before Trask became "New Burrow". Now I don't know what a properly run Dan Mullen offense looks like, and I think maybe he doesn't either. This season has been a paradigm shift for the team, and for him personally.

I mean, think about it for us. In 2017 we were #116 in offense, scoring 29 TD's in 13 games, or 2.2 per game. This year we are 12th and have scored 34 touchdowns in 6 games, or 5.7 a game. Holy Toledo that's a big shift in 3 years!

Now think about it for Mullen. His staple offense has always been the DT, running QB game. The threat of the run by the QB was the key to opening the defense. Remember the Tebow Rock? We'd be 5 wide, he's alone back there, and he would take the snap and rock forward, as if he were about to run. Play action with 5 guys in the pattern. That kind of play was the Dan Mullen hallmark. Now he doesn't have that DT guy, and all he's doing is scoring points in huge bunches. He's got to be looking at himself in the mirror and saying "is it really this easy?"

Honestly, I’ve watched you guys win two national titles with Mullen calling your plays and both came with completely different QBs leading the charge, a pocket passer and a dual threat. And what he’s doing with Trask now, Mullen is an elite play caller and truly can adjust his offense as needed with what he’s got under center. There is no denying that.

In 2006 our offense was pedestrian at best. We needed Tebow to come in as the battering ram on short yardage plays. Yes, we won with a pocket passer, who threw for 237 yards per game. But we were opportunistic, we managed to score almost 30 points a game, and we were lucky, beating Tennessee by one point and So Carolina with the infamous "cock block". It was almost a charmed season, which certainly would not have happened if we didn't have the #6 rated defense that gave up 13.5 points per game.

If you want to downplay your 2006 team be my guest. You were very efficient on offense that year but I’m good with the pedestrian label. Most overrated national champions in the BCS era. just pure luck to have made it. Fine by me.

In 2006 it may have been pedestrian by today’s standards but I believe it was still the 2nd best offense statistically in the SEC that year so it was still pretty solid. Obviously not as good as some of these other Dan Mullen offenses. It is really impressive that he can win and light up scoreboards with a pocket passer at QB. It typically has not been his style of QB. It is encouraging sign for sure.

I’ve been watching football for a long time. And it’s scary how wide open your WRs are. It is very Spurrier-like. Pressuring Trask into a mistake is the only chance anyone has right now.
