If a private conversation is defined as one in a room with dozens from the media along with cameras, lighting and audio equipment in use, then sure...it was a private conversation.

At one stop he called a female voter a 'lying dog-faced pony soldier', and at another stop when an elderly man said he wasn't voting for him, Hiden challenged him to go 'out back' and have a pushup contest. Another time as he was touring an auto plant he stopped to tell a voter he was 'full of shit'.
