Aubirn not as good as advertised

Agree. I just disagree that Bama and the other SEC teams that you're referring to haven't earned it.

Bama has a relatively easy schedule this year. However, would you say that Ohio State, Clemson or Oklahoma have a tougher path to the playoffs? Add in their probable conference championship opponents if they make it. I don't think that there is any doubt that our relatively easy schedule is harder.

I think strength of schedule is a made up stat. They base it off rankings which are made before anyone plays. Its statistically impossible to know strength of schedule only playing 12 games out of 130 teams. If you play in a p5 conference you play teams that can beat u. Thats good enough for me.

Im not saying bama hasnt earned it, theyve been the best team for sure since sabans been there but my only issue is when they do slip up, it seems they get a pass. They drop on avg 2.5 spots in the polls when they lose, that is lowest in the last century.....

Strength of schedule isn’t based on rankings teams before teams play its updated throughout the year and then a final ranking is given at the end of the regular season. What you’re thinking of is strength or record which takes into account ranking at the time a game is played but even that is updated week to week. The new advanced formulas account for all of that so its about as accurate as can be in seeing who has played the most quality competition.

100% and my point before it works its self out through the year. Yes teams get over ranked and some are completely better than thought of (UF last year) when the dust settles and the SEC plays out thought the bowls we've been the toughest and best conference and it's not close. UF hasn't been the best in the last decade, we've had terrible coaching and all around player development....had some good defenses and have been lucky to be in the East.

And you could probably add some other sports to that list, not just football... o_O

Most other sports are based less on "opinion" and more about winning your conf. I think the ACC gets bias in basketball, ive never seen a study done but it seems that way. You could argue that basketball is opinion based but if u win ur conf or conf tourney u are in, cant say the same for football.

My comment was intended to point out the other sports where the SEC is the best.
Baseball
Softball
Track
Gymnastics
Swimming & Diving
etc

While UF is pretty good in every sport most years.
Finished in the Top 10 every year since the middle 80's in the Natl. All Sports rankings, with many times in the final Top 5.

In just the last 22 years, UF has won NC's in the men's Big 3:
Football - 3
Basketball - 2
Baseball - 1
Something that only a handful of other schools have ever done...

UF is certainly well rounded in sports. Other than Womens soccer im not sure what FSU is good at. I think we were decent at track for awhile as well.

False. Texas a and m being ranked this weeks LROVES the SEC bias. They are terrible and yet Bama needs one more "ranked at the time" teams. Sec CONSTANTLY gets over ranked which makes their final rank higher. This is basic stuff man that i shouldnt have to explain. Cfb creates tribalism so i wouldnt expect you to agree but the non bias studies and math dont lie

They got the SEC hype train to early. I think they are a good team, top 25 team but they definitely got the "SEC bump" in the polls. Gators look legit. Top 8 team for sure.

AU fan here, and I agree. Having a true frosh QB starting against an Auburn regular season schedule is a clarion call to thinking persons to modulate ones expectations for this year's AU team.

Nix has shown flashes of talent as well as inexperience this season; the later of which exposed him as the true frosh that he is (compliments of the staunch Florida defense).

Nevertheless I remain impressed by the kids overall qualities as being representative of those necessary attributes of a future all-Sec and All-American signal caller.

Nix is AU's #1QB for the long haul. AU will remain a power contender for the Sec Title and the CFB playoffs.AU will finish ranked in the top ten every year Nix is the signal caller.
