...game is real early, but looks like the BCS playoff game all over again....53 yd TD for Mariotta, pick six in first NFL pass for ja-rapist....

One wonders where all the FSU fans are that insisted, INSISTED that Winston was more NFL ready than Mariotta.

Was going to the game today, but something came up....said I wasn't gonna cheer for the jamie...turns out I wouldn't of had to.

Ripped from the main board;

Hi I'm the 2nd pick in this year's NFL draft, and I have DirecTV.

And I'm the 1st pick in this years NFL draft, and I have cable.

The funny part is there were a lot of people who didn't see this coming. Said it all offseason, Winston was a great college QB but I didn't like his game at the next level at all. That long windup he has gives DB's too much time to jump routes and he's one of the worst athletes drafted at QB in more than a decade. I was shocked people thought he was a better prospect than Mariota. Mariota is a far superior athlete, great football IQ, and near flawless mechanics. But system blah, blah, blah.

Yep...and those same people kept telling us how Mariota was just a product of the system, and not NFL ready....well, would you look at that!

Mariota owns Jameis. Jameis owns UF. I'm cool with that.

The only thing Jameis owns now is the record for quickest pick six in nfl history and the probable title as worst first pick in history.
Would you be cool if your daughter was partying with Jameis?

It's one game

I'm shocked there are people who are reading this much in to the two QBs after this one game. They're both very good. Mariota had a huge advantage......he got to play against the Bucs defense.

Funny, the little noles still make everything about the rivalry and refuse to see the what the rest out of the world sees in jamie, which is a whole lot less than they do...so very hard to ever get any honesty out of them.

Yeah, because the Titans are such a powerhouse LOL....same record as Bucs last year....

The real world, you know outside of the jock sniffing noles who could not for any reason understand why people would not want jamie on their team. Little brother always so sensitive and defensive!

You're right. He's suddenly going to stop running a 5.04 by next week and/or stop dropping the ball to his knees in his wind up. What was I thinking.

The larger point, which people are missing is this. We were told that Jamies was soooooooo much better than Mariota that he deserved the first overall pick, despite the character issues. Sure, things may turn out OK, but the process has pissed off a lot of fans. The stadium was packed yesterday, and the Bucs have been pumping us a lot of sunshine ever since the pick was made, and the result on the field was garbage, while the other guy, that the jamie lovers kept saying was not NFL ready, and was a product of the system, showed him up, again, and big time.

So typical in your world but not in the "real world".
I tell you what, even though it is off topic for this thread, I will show you some compassion, and give you what you so desperately seek:

"The fsu football team is better than UF right now"

There you go, feel better now?

Did he show Jameis up or did he show the Bucs defense up?? I must have missed where Jameis was playing defense.

Still downplaying Mariota...so typical of the jamie jock sniffers.....I see, the worst teams in the league from last year both start their new rookie QBs....one guy sucks, its not his fault, the other does amazing, but he didn't really do anything. *sigh*

Who said anything you just typed in your post??

Mariotta looked leaps and bounds better than Winston yesterday. It could be something long term it could mean nothing, but the Titans aren't exactly a great NFL team. I may be wrong, but wasn't Tennessee pretty lousy last year as well.

First off the Bucs have Lovie Smith as their coach. I don't expect them to be good anytime soon. Secondly they just handed Winston the starting QB job without any kind of QB competition. Bad move.
