I included a good share of these in our FNL main thread, but I figured starting a new one would be a good way to organize my observations:
--More than half of the team was in attendance last night. Some notable receivers I saw in attendance (in light of recent news): Antonio Callaway, Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells. When McElwain greeted a couple players at the start of the camp, including Cleveland, everything seemed amiable between the two.
--I did not catch Treon Harris there, but I did see his father, Booker T. Washington High School head coach Tim "Ice" Harris, along with a couple Booker T. staffers.
--Other players I saw there: Luke Del Rio, Austin Appleby, Jalen Tabor, Caleb Brantley, Jarrad Davis, Marcus Maye, Chauncey Gardner, Jarrad Davis, Ahmad Fulwood, Duke Dawson, David Sharpe, Camrin Knight, Chris Thompson, Daniel McMillian, Case Harrison, Bryan Cox Jr., Antonneous Clayton, Lamical Perine, Kalif Jackson, McArthur Burnett, R.J. Raymond, CeCe Jefferson, Brandon Sandifer, T.J. McCoy (his dad, Tony McCoy, was also in attendance), C.J. Worton, Fred Johnson, Jachai Polite, C'yontai Lewis, Antonio Riles, Dre Massey, Jordan Scarlett, Khairi Clark, Kyle Trask, Jawaan Taylor, Richerd Desir-Jones, Mark Herndon.
--Herndon was helping out a bunch during the RB drills and was showing the group how to perform each drill. Gardner played a similar role with the DBs. Fulwood is another player I saw working with the WRs.
--I thought Del Rio was pretty vocal and hands-on working with some of the campers last night. He definitely looks like he's added a little bit more muscle this offseason since the end of spring. A bunch of the Gators were going crazy at some of the big plays during the 1-on-1 session, including Jerry Jeudy's big catch from Jake Allen.
--Fred Johnson looks like he's spent some time in the weight room, as his upper body definitely looks stronger. Jawaan Taylor definitely looks like he's shed some weight and looks in better physical shape. S&C staff seems to have done a lot for him thus far.
--I think Clayton could use some more time adding more bulk to his frame. You can definitely notice a considerable difference when you see him standing next to a guy like Cox. Both were joking around during a down time between drills inside the IPF, when they went up for a catch in the end zone on a pass from Marcus Maye. Cox came up with the ball over Clayton.
--Gardner in particular I thought was one of the freshmen who looked like he was in really good shape.
--Burnett looks like he's added a little bit of extra muscle to his frame this offseason, maybe something in the range of 5-10 pounds or so. Still, he looks small height-wise in comparison when standing next to Gardner, Cleveland, etc. McWilliams definitely looks like he needs some time with the S&C staff and in the weight room to bulk up.
