Alabama 41 Georgia 24......

That's why elite QBs are the great equalizer. When the defense has no idea where the ball will be thrown, and on a dime, good defenses can be gassed and shredded. Flash back in time to 2020, our defense was REALLY bad. Without Trask we probably lose 5-7 games.
We were also blessed to not only have Pitts, but Toney actually opened up the game vs KY in what was a close game in the 1st half and we can't forget his performance against Mizzou.

For the record, Cade McNamara (Michigan QB) may not be Kyle Trask but he can deliver big throws when needed. And Jim Harbaugh will study that SECCG game film extensively to have McNamara and the receivers operate the three-step-drop, quick passing game. UGA's secondary gets killed on deep crossing routes. Harbaugh, a former QB himself, can and will exploit that.

Way too much credit here to Cade and Harbaugh

Georgia's front seven covered for their DBs all year. If your OL can hold long enough and your QB can deliver the ball you can score points against them. Bama exposed that. Couple that with Kirby once again screwing up the QB choice, Michigan can VERY MUCH beat UGa.

true, no difference between Bryce Young and the Bama WRs and Cade McNamara and the UM WR. One in the same

Exactly. And remember Harbaugh, like Saban, has seen these kinds of defenses at the NFL level. So they know how to gameplan for such an occassion as this. This time, Harbaugh has an entire month to do so.

That was sarcasm

People act like every team can just go out and do what Bama did. Leaving out the fact they have the Heisman winning QB and the best WRs in the nation
You are confusing "can" with "will". I said the former, not the latter.

You have a chance. Only Bama or UGA are going to win this thing. Michigan can’t throw the ball good enough in order to take advantage of both Bama & UGAs biggest weakness and that is the secondary.
I have learned after many years of watching Georgia football, to never assume anything like that. No one will find a post from me stating any confidence of winning that Bama game. In fact I outright said Bama would be a different team after the auburn game. They show up at title time, especially when playing Georgia. Saban owns Kirby’s noggin.

so while it would be nice to get another shot I am not at all convinced we get past Meatchikin and if we do I have no reason to think it’ll be different with Bama.

Michigan D is actually better than Bama D....but their offense is not good.

Does Cincy have a chance in hell?
It depends on which bama shows up. The one from last week will boat race them. The bama from the auburn game could easily lose. I would say there might be a chance of overconfidence but I’ve never seen that from a Saban coached team. Fickell is a hell of a coach and they’re really scrappy and tough but it would be a huge long shot

If we are banking on Saban being unprepared for a playoff game, not happening.

Secondly, Cincy has barely beat some very bad AAC teams. We can pick on a road game at Auburn all we want, but Cincy has needed luck to beat some very bad teams.

i personally hope its 52-0 and we NEVER have to hear about G5 achools “deserving” to be in again

Yeah, I would doubt there would be a letdown with a Saban coaches team, but anything can happen. Not likely though. If they get some bounces they might keep it interesting for a minute, but I think bama handles them.

Just have to realize neither Cincy nor Michigan has seen the level of speed they are about to see

Ohio states pretty fast, but they’re not SEC fast as a team. Michigan has a good defense. Maybe better than Alabama’s, but they’re pretty one dimensional on offense. If they can figure out a way to run consistently they have a shot, but that’s what uga is best at, so it’ll be an uphill battle. That said, I know if Michigan keeps it close that kirby is a liability, so the longer it’s a ball game, the better kirby will find a way to eff it up. But on paper it’s not a great matchup

I said it after the game and why I was a little surprised by the score. I admit I thought UGA would win because this is not one of Saban’s better teams. Not by a long shot.

You.Don’t.Win.With.A.Run.Only.Offense.

Saban changed for a reason.

I get what your saying but they threw 33 TD passes this season.

i know what you are saying.

and teams like UGA can usually put up some passing numbers IF they are dominating the run game

Bama put them in a spot they HAD to pass so Bama kept running safety blitz and throwing their QB off

Teams like UGA, Michigan, old Bama are fine, even dominant, until they don’t control the pace of the game
