That didn’t end well for the Chiefs.I would chuckle if Golden sandbagged the first tournament game and started the bench backups like the KC Chiefs did in their last regular season game. 😂

You just made me chuckle again. 😂 But the reality is, that scenario is just about a mirror image of what we're up against. We lost a front line player last year in the SEC tournament and it cost us a deeper run. Numbers will agree with me.That didn’t end well for the Chiefs.
I just can't imagine a Todd Golden team not doing their best to win every game they play. Last year was a terrible break, but these guys want to win every time they take the floor and that's the way they're coached. I don't think it matters, though, whether or not we win the SEC tournament as far as NCAA seeding goes, but I would feel safer if we won our first game at least. You just made me chuckle again. 😂 But the reality is, that scenario is just about a mirror image of what we're up against. Chinlyeu isn't exactly what Samuel was for us last season, but he's been an excellent replacement for Samuel.Or Tyrese Samuel.. I mean could you imagine lol
we'd be a football roster
Chinyelu is a vacuum on that glass though, he's become a much bigger piece than I ever thought he would. He defends, blocks shots and has started to score more.. When he's in double figures it's just another like how do you even beat this team thing when you look at the stat sheet.Chinlyeu isn't exactly what Samuel was for us last season, but he's been an excellent replacement for Samuel.
And Chin knocked down those 2 foul shots on the reversed Flagrant Foul call....Chinyelu is a vacuum on that glass though, he's become a much bigger piece than I ever thought he would. yep.. after Condon missed it seemed like 5 in a row lolAnd Chin knocked down those 2 foul shots on the reversed Flagrant Foul call....
It’s ok. Let them stroke all their “winners”. I think our guys don’t really care about individual awards.
If we play Gonzaga as a #1 vs. #8 seed it will be in Gainesville, FL per ESPN bracketology. However, I think their info is wrong, as Raleigh, NC has already been set by the NCAA as the site of the first 2 rounds of West Regional games where Florida would play as #1 seed in the West. If the Zags are a #8 seed, they would travel east.Watch us get the team that is rated pretty high (top 10) in most metric rankings like Kenpom and NET but are possibly only going to be an 8 seed and likely in our region close to where their fans are at. Fricking Gonzaga. You can't make this crap up. Worst 8/9 team opponent and location scenario for a #1 seed I can think of.

Men's Bracketology: Auburn stays No. 1; Gonzaga's WCC semifinal win keeps it in the hunt
Auburn has lost back-to-back games but is still positioned for the top overall seed as automatic bids begin coming off the table.www.espn.com
See my edit to my post above. Gainesville is not a Regional host, so the ESPN link I posted is obviously wrong. Nevertheless, if Gonzaga is a #8 seed in the West and we're #1, the Zags will travel East. While Mark Few is a great coach, Gonzaga is not much better than an average team this year.Yep I jumped the gun with that. Was thinking of the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 game locations. Still a hard matchup for an 8/9 game though.

Yes - Raleigh. Gonzaga's SOS is #45, but their ELO is #17, RPI is #24 and their NET ranking is #8. Those are pretty high rankings for a #8 seed. And I agree for sure that with Mark Few as coach and the experience they have in the NCAA tournament, they are capable of beating anybody on a given night. All the metric stuff loves Gonzaga though. If they are hitting 3s they are a tough team.
The game would be in Raleigh, NC I think.

I watched Vandy play today, they literally shat their bed. That was a really bad game. I thought playing in their backyard they might make a little noise. Honestly, I don't care about this tournament. No one wants to lose, but I really don't think it affects the big picture unless the top 4 seeds suffer some weird injuries.TX after winning today could get in with a win over A&M tomorrow probably. Oklahoma is in a dangerous spot if they lose to Magic Mike White's leghumpers tonight.
I still can't believe Norvell did that. 😂Did I just see Riley Kugel with some Mike Norvell style cornrows?
It’s nice to see hard work pay off and accompanied with humility.Wow! Big honor. Congrats!
Beat me to it. The Fighting Mikey Jorts go down. I wonder if they'll be gifted a 12 seed though.Down go the leghumpers...
Those lower seeds usually go to the likes of smaller schools like UNCC and other teams like Ball State, who get automatic bids by winning their conferences.Beat me to it. The Fighting Mikey Jorts go down. I wonder if they'll be gifted a 12 seed though.
The SEC is probably the deepest conference in this history of D1 basketball. Georgia is not even close to being on the bubble and will porbably be a 9 or 10 seed. Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and Texas are the SEC bubble teams and probanly 2 of them get in as 11 or 12 seeds. I think the SEC gets 13 teams in, with LSU and South Carolina the only teams definitely out. We'll see Sunday at 6 pm, but that's my guess. Those lower seeds usually go to the likes of smaller schools like UNCC and other teams like Ball State, who get automatic bids by winning their conferences.
I'd be surprised if any other teams with an 8-10 conference record gets in. That's just Joe Lunardi talking out of his ass, especially when he talks of UF getting a 1 seed.
