2017 NFL Draft

A few people are saying Lawing was telling NFL teams that about Brantley. Kind of messed up when you aren't even at the kids school the past few years. Brantley lost about 1.7 million in signing bonus and 2.6 million in total contract value if he could have went in the mid 2nd round. These kids probably should go on total lockdown as far as going to any clubs or messing with females etc. once they declare for the draft.

I doubt scouts would listen to a rival coach. That seems stupid to me. Even if he use to coach the kid.

Even though its that bad showing by UGA, the SEC dominated the draft.

SEC (53)
ACC (43)
Pac12 (36)
Big10 (35)
AAC (15)
Big12 14)
Mac (11)

The SEC had

UA (10)
UF (8)
LSU (8)
UT (6)
TAMU (5)
UM (4)
AU (4)
ARK (3)
VU (2)
MO (1)
MSU (1)
UGA (1)
UK (0)
USC (0)

So apparently UGA only had one player drafted.

Georgia and FSU also had players that came out early and didn't get drafted. Imo unless you are guaranteed basically to be gone in the first 4 rounds it doesn't make sense to come out early.

Does that mean Georgia's talented players are almost all returning next season?

Um...sure...but they were an 8-5 (4-4) team last year. Not exactly a world beater.

Rudolph should have stayed but there was talk he might actually lose touches this upcoming season.

I'm happy for Jared Davis. Goes to show you what hard work can do for a player. Nobody would have thought he was a first rounder back when he was being recruited.
.
