Three-star 2016 Owensboro (KY) Apollo HS SG Eli Wright took a brief unofficial visit to Florida last night with his guardian. Florida offered Wright after watching him in Atlanta in July.
The visit had been reported, by some on Twitter, as an official visit but it was not. Wright is looking to transfer to another school for his senior year. To that end, he left Gainesville this morning and traveled to Montverde Academy for a visit and tour. Wright will visit IMG Academy tomorrow.
Wright has taken unofficial visits to Indiana and Miami plus has scheduled an official visit to Wake Forest. Many consider Wake Forest his leader.
Could Wright come back for an official visit? Yes, but don't count on it being on a weekend when there is a home football game. Wright's guardian said that he wants to come when he can see a practice, so he can see what the guards do.
The guardian also made it clear that coming on a weekend when there is a football game is not important. Stressing that he wants to see how the basketball team works not watch a football game.
