We should have declined the bowl bid. Said it weeks ago, nobody agreed.
Now, knowing we only held 3 (others heard it was 5) of our allowed 15 practices, does anyone change their mind? Many on here said it was very important we got those 15 additional practice. I said, even if we held the practices, there was nothing to teach the kids as the new staff was going to have to retrain them anyway. Evidently the current staff agreed with me as they didn't hardly bother having practice.
The coaches didn't care or we would have practiced more. The players didn't care or they would have put out a better effort. So who cared? Anybody? The fans? LMAO at anybody who thinks what the fans want means diddly. Oh, well, the administration cared, because they made a profit on the game. Only had to drive players and equipment to it, so not much in costs; they put a few more mil into their swollen bank accounts.
We had a coaching staff and a group of players that are both heading out the door now that the game is over. It was ridiculous to send a lame duck coaching staff plus a lame duck football team to represent UF at a bowl game. RIdiculous and STUPID.
But, you all got what you wanted. Hope you are happy.
