Florida is coming off an upset victory at then No. 25 Texas A&M.

Florida vs. Auburn
Game Information: Jan. 13 | 5 p.m. ET
Live Stream: SEC Network

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida women's basketball is set to return home on Thursday evening when they welcome Auburn to Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center for a 5 p.m. ET matchup.

The game will be streamed live on SEC Network with Tiffany Greene and Christy Thomaskutty on the call. Kyle Crooks and Brittany Davis will handle radio responsibilities on 98.1FM/850AM WRUF.

Thursday will mark the 62nd meeting between the Gators and Tigers, with Auburn holding a 37-24 advantage in the series. Florida, however, currently boasts a three-game win streak, most recently winning at the 2021 Southeastern Conference Tournament on Mar. 3, 69-62.

The Gators enter Thursday's contest fresh off of a victory over then-No. 25 Texas A&M in College Station, marking the first victory for Florida on the road in series history. Facing a 19-point deficit in the third quarter, Florida rallied to defeat the Aggies in double overtime, 97-89, behind a career-high 28 points from Zippy Broughton in addition to seven rebounds. Veteran Kiara Smith added 27 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. As a team, UF connected on 13 triples, tied for the third-best outing in program history.

Sunday's dramatic comeback also marked the largest comeback for Florida in the quarter-era and second-largest comeback in school history. The largest comeback occurred on Jan. 4, 1992 when the Gators rallied from a 20-point hole at Alabama to win, 103-102, in double overtime.

As mentioned, Broughton had the best day of her collegiate career on Sunday, tallying career-bests in eight statistical categories including points (28), field goals (10), field goals attempted (19), three pointers (3), free throws made (5), free throws attempted (6), rebounds (7) and blocked shots (2). The 28 points is the highest point total by a Gator this season.

With the victory over No. 25 Texas A&M, Florida earned their first ranked-victory since defeating #22 Arkansas, 83-80, on Feb. 23, 2020. It also marked the first victory over a ranked opponent on the road since a 70-62 win over No. 13 Kentucky on Jan. 12, 2020.

Smith continues to remain elite defensively for the Orange & Blue, as she currently sits at 10th nationally with a total of 44 steals on the year. She is also ranked 32nd in the nation in steals per game, averaging 2.75 during each outing. Those numbers are good for third and fourth in the SEC, respectively.

The District Heights, Md., native also finds herself in a class all her own when it comes to rebounding. Smith is just one of five active point guards to have surpassed 500 rebounds, owning 542 for her career. She is joined by Haley Cavinder (Fresno State), Jennifer Coleman (Navy), Seraphine Bastin (Wichita State) and Stella Clark (Monmouth).

Auburn enters Thursday's contest with a record of 8-6 and 0-3 in SEC play. The Tigers, who own a NET ranking of 95th, are coming off of a 76-48 loss against LSU.

Why the panic?!?!

Napier has shown he is very detailed with his staff. I am sure he had back up plans incase Scott didn't sign. It might not be a shiny name like Scott but I'm sure he will hire someone who is good for the job.

We have no reason to doubt him and his decision making.

No SCHUMANN ISNT COMING TO US, NEITHER IS CHARLIE STRONG LOL.

I'm no insider but common sense prevails...Schumann has the keys to a shiny new #1 ranked defense after a natty. Unless he is the main DC calling plays he's not leaving UGA (my opinion).

Relax, have a drink.

That sucked to watch…

I was born and raised in Middle Ga (Macon). I’ve always had to listen to uga fans talk trash, even though they were on a 41 year drought. That has came to and end and my 1980 joke is no longer in rotation. This hurts. I hope Napier is the right guy and we are competing within 2-4 years. Uga and Bama are so much more ahead of every other team. Go Gators!

CONGRESS COULD FINALLY REIN IN ITS OWN CONTROVERSIAL STOCK TRADING

This is actually quite funny.

While Nancy Pelosi recently defended the practice, there are bipartisan rumblings for new limits on members’ trades.

Last month, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responded to scrutiny of members of Congress trading stocks by defending the practice. “We are a free-market economy. [Members of Congress] should be able to participate in that,” said the Speaker, who is reportedly worth tens of millions of dollars, making her one of the wealthiest members of Congress.

This actually quite laughable. Botox Nan got rich while in Congress. She knows how shit works.

In March of 2021, a bipartisan group of lawmakers including senators Jeff Merkley, Sherrod Brown, and Raphael Warnock introduced the Ban Conflicted Trading Act, a bill that would bar members from trading. Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Matt Gaetz, Joe Neguse, and Michael Cloud also backed the the bill.

So we have a striking contrast from the leftards. Gaetz is filthy rich already, he doesn't care. But we now see who the real retards are.........AOC, like BScuck that understand nothing Wall Street want to ban congressional trading. This is funny AF. You really can't make this stuff up. 🤣

Georgia rebuild for 2022

Looking at UGly’s depth chart from the nat’l championship game, the puppy dogs put on the field:
7 seniors and 4 juniors. At two positions the back-ups to senior starters were also seniors.
Among the four juniors are Nakobe Dean snd Lewis Cine.

Offensively, Georgia seniors include their LT and LG, running back James Cook and the QB Bennett. It’s likely Zamir White and George Pickkens declare for the draft.

Lots of turnover, especially on defense.Muschamp might be replacing all 11 starters. Reminds me of LSU in 2019, a star-studded roster that had an NFL record 16 Tigers drafted and a 17th signed and sticking as a free agent. Seventeen others transferred out or otherwise left the program.

Vegas oddsmakers early this morning established Alabama as the team most likely to win the Natty again for this next season with UGly second and Ohio State third. UF is 16th. I think Georgia slips a bit and that Napier and his Gator team will have a good shot at knocking off the bulldogs.

West Coast recruiting

Noticed an uptick in offers going out to players from California, Oregon, and even Hawaii. I know we picked up Trask, Cleveland, and a few DB’a from Texas in the last five years and recently McClellan from OK. The QB that transferred in played HS in Arizona. But, west of Texas?

IMO, it’s a waste of time and money to pursue a player from Cali, Oregon, or Washington. Other than Ronald Powell, who else from the West Coast was a Gator?
