Smart offensive coach, well organized, and knows how to build from the line of scrimmage out. I understand he’s a Northeast guy, but I’m just not convinced Lane is coming. Haven’t seen a whole lot of realistic options out there better than Bill.

If Stricklin doesn’t make the new hire, who does? The Interim President, the Board of Trustees, Big Boosters, some ad hoc committee…

If your could choose between an elite coach on the one hand, or an elite booster willing to give unlimited funds to nil, which would you choose?

I was at the gator walk yesterday with my nephew who was at his first game. When Lagway approached our area a bunch of kids called his name and he came over and gave them high fives. When Mertz approached the same spot, the kids also called his name. He didn’t even look… just walked by with his smug smile… maybe he as in the zone, maybe he wasn’t. All I know is seeing that made me want to root for DJ even more.

The Gators aren't going to compete with the elites anytime soon and Kamala is going to be the next President.

The democrats and their media are doing a very good job packaging and protecting Kamala.

Either the republican party leaders are idiots or Trump doesn't listen to them. Why do republicans repeatedly agree to debates with democrat friendly moderators? It's always going to be a no win situation.

I'm on board with Jason. That way we could have all the insider information at our disposal. He could hire the best coordinators money can buy and he can spend his time informing all of us on EVERYTHING that is going on.

Absolutely ridiculous. Shit makes no sense. Coach has no pulse for playing his best players.

If we can’t get NIL right we will continue put this mediocre product on the field.

We need an AD or leadership at a higher level to raise NIL funds at a top five level consistently. We won titles in 06 and 08 because of TALENT. There are coaches that can get wins with lesser talent. Napier isn’t one of those unfortunately.

Ultimately it would be ideal to get a coach that can get you plus 2-3 wins every year beyond talent level and top 5 talent acquisition annually.

Unfortunately Miami has made this commitment and we haven’t.

Doesn’t he usually have one on Sunday? If so, what time? If he shows, this should shed some light on all the rumors and confusion about him still being our coach.

This is not intended to deflect criticism directed at Napier. I have vocally supported Napier and all Florida HC's until they are not HC or have proven they are not up to the task. I have caught up with the rest of you now knowing Napier is not the dude.
But where are the players getting into the grill of other players when they do something stupid? Instead of aggressively making the point that the player screwed up, it appears they just pat the dumbass on the butt and tell them things will get better. This is not a time for sympathy and compassion, it is the the time for other players to chew the player out and tell him get his act together or go to the bench.
Granted this is not as important as the coaches jobs but have you ever seen a winning team lacking alphas? Unleash the "dogs of war", play the youngsters and tell them to be aggressive and have fun. As far as I am concerned the rest of the season is a tryout to find out who wants to be a Gator and who wants to hit the road.

Not confident it happens, but assuming UF makes a change at AD, who are your top three candidates and why?

Dike - makes plays when given chance
Rain Delays - to prevent from overdosing on apathy

Postulates:

No 3 & outs on D. It's to the point, the next 3 & out we'll see is Billy out after the 3rd game of season 3. In all seriousness - when you can't force a team to punt and they accummulate so many plays and score - hard to gain any momentum and offensive flow. The Miami game had 2 3 & outs - including one when the game was 38-10 in the 4th.

Lost Turnover Battle 3-0 resulting in 7 points directly scored.

Line of Scrimmage - outclassed on both sides again - Offense - no push on runs, confusion on blocking schemes on passes; Defense - 11 individual guys doing their thing. Watson is afraid to fall to the ground and reminds me of a baseball brawl and being that reserve teammate that just wants to find another opponent to look like they are doing something when they are doing nothing. The runner passes him by and is pushing the pile forward and Watson just stands there and watches...

Strong Safety - When the opposition needs to complete a pass - focus on the receiver matched up on the SS. Miami and now A&M exploited this weakness like it was free candy

Coaching - Who's in charge of the O? Who's in charge of the D? Who is responsible for play calling on both sides. It's so clear that no one knows who role is who and then we wonder why the players are confused on the field. Maybe they're thinking instead of just playing. Paralysis by analysis... Slow and deliberate loses the race... which is the perception Billy portrays everytime he speaks

Middle 8 - Outscored 13-7... Even when we did well with opening drive of the 2nd half - we immediately tell Uncle Mo - thanks, but no thanks.

QB Series Swapping - microcosm of Napier's rigidity and inflexibiity to adapt in game situations. If there was any adaptability - maybe the same mistakes and situations wouldn't constantly repeat itself.

Costly Penalties - they may not happen much - but when they do - they completely impact the game result.


Win or Youth Movement? - It's clear that we all want to win, however if we are not able to win with the existing upperclassman - maybe it's time to let the underclassman get the PT ... especially in the backfield- Lagway over Mertz, Webb/Baugh over MJ


Coaching Candidate? - Finally if there is a coach in the SEC who is realistic in replacing Napier, proven in the SEC and can add some spice to the press conference... I'd target Eli Drinkwitz. After all if you can win in Missouri, you can win at UF. Also gotta love the clapbacks when he has the chance.
