Home game. Them coming off a decisive loss. Us coming off a bye week. Things are lining up in an absolute must win game for the gators.
But will we make the necessary defensive changes? Will the Oline build on last games performance? Deion just kinda gave us the game plan

Anyway just a little bye week poll

Lance Leipold....That's it ...That's the list

These kinds of threads used to make me mad....but as I said in another post...disappointment is different than being mad...
And I never ever quote Jeremy Foley...but what must be done eventually should be done now....or soon...because as likeable as BCN is...he gaslit us
and after Monday's press conference ...I can't even listen from my basement anymore...
Coach, if you're mad at fans like me...enjoy the buyout we provide coaches every few years...your welcome.

I posted this in another thread:
If you want the guy that matches Meyer and SOS and Saban and Deboer in credentials....the coach at Kansas who turned Buffalo and now Kansas completely around....is who you want ....he turned pathetic Kansas around in 3 years...He will win here faster than that...He's the guy

Lance Leipold....is your guy...I want him!!! Before that he was 109-6 in Div lll....that's the guy
that's the list!!!

Football One problem with UAA

This conclusion is just my perception but the statements below are true.
The UAA is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the university's missions. The UAA's mission is to improve and operate the school's athletic programs and facilities, and to support the university's teaching, research, and service missions.
The leader is Scott Stricklin and we don't need to discuss him.
But the real problem may the board of directors of UAA. While all of them may be really good people, do you know who they are and how long they have been at UF?
Amy Hass was placed on the board by Stricklin. She has been at UF since 2006 as general counsel and now she oversee human resources, legal affairs, Title IX Compliance, student health, student academic services and the softball program.
Chip Howard is in his 32nd year with UAA as assistant AD and is in charge of football scheduling (sarcastic thank you) and capital projects ( a recent sincere thank you.)
Dave "Duke" Werner has been with UF for 30 years and deals with basketball, student health injuries and stuff
Lindsey Thomas has been with UAA since 2007 and I'm not sure what she does other than lacrosse.
Mike Spiegler has been with UF since 1987 and he seems to be a jack of all trades.
Do you see the common thread that all of the board members above have been at UF at least 17 years and up to 35 years? How about a little new blood and retire some of the old blook? If I was a mega-donor I would insist on new blood on this board or else that $25 million that might be donated to buy out Napier could be directed to Shands or some other department at UF. Since Meyer left everything has changed in the football football world except this board and they have overseen the demise of this program. This seems to be the last element of "the old guard" and they should be held accountable by being replaced.
Posters have stated they think the UAA should separate from UF but I don't see that happening. First of all wouldn't they lose their tax exempt status if not a part of UF? How many donors will open their checkbooks if their donations are not tax deductible (itemized cash gifts to UAA are tax deductible)? Perhaps one of our lawyer or CPA posters can clarify this.
Once again all of this is my opinion.

New Story A throwback's throwback (Ray Graves and Otis Boggs)

Seeing Otis Boggs's name in the other thread took me back. Most of the over-50 Gators remember when Otis was the guy we listened to. You've all heard the name Ray Graves, he revolutionized UF football in the 1960s with his passing game and obviously was a huge influence on SOS.

Here's a video interview Otis did with Ray Graves in 1963. I could be wrong but I believe that's the north endzone behind them.

Football I don’t want to ever hear how toxic our fanbase is again…

Have a certain insider/booster tagging a player on x directly making fun of Napier play calling/ personal usage. Same guy was all about Napier just months ago and laughing at those who felt Napier was in over his head. I’m all for message board banter, but don’t call fans the problem and turn around a few months later after things go sideways doing the same things you call others toxic for. Uncalled for and part of the problem. No need tag anyone, I’m sure most know who it is…..

Football UNLV QB decides to not play anymore this season due to NIL disputes 👀

They’re undefeated and ranked for the first time I believe. This is the future with NIL and I don’t think it gets better. To be fair if they promised the kid certain things and have not delivered then I agree with him. Which one of us would show up to work if we were not getting paid to be there?

Klonowski Collects SEC Freshman of the Week Honors. Addison Klonowski shot a 6-under 210 en route to a 3rd place finish at the Mary Fossum Invitational.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
Florida women's golfer Addison Klonowski collected SEC Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced.

A redshirt-freshman, she recently shot a 6-under 210 en route to a third-place finish at the Mary Fossum Invitational at Forest Akers West Course. She recorded all three rounds of par or better, including an opening round of 5-under 67. Across her 54-holes, she made 38 pars, 11 birdies and just five bogeys. The Naples native averaged 2.67 (-4) on par3s, 4.00 (E) on par4s and 4.83 (-2) on par5s.

Through two tournaments, Klonowski owns team bests in stroke average (70.6), which also is the top in the SEC among freshmen, under par rounds (4), low-18 (67), low-36 (139), low-54 (210) scores and top-10 (1), top-25 (3) finishes. Her solo third is a team best and helped guide Florida to back-to-back fourth place finishes to start the fall slate. Out of six rounds, five have been for par or better. In the season opener and collegiate debut, she finished T18.

Florida returns to play this fall at the Barbara Nicklaus Cup from Oct. 7-8 at Muirfield Village Golf Club.

Baseball MLB playoff spots coming down to the wire

Yes, I understand our beloved Gators are not playing up to the standards that we wish and there are so many posts saying the same exact stuff- so let's discuss the MLB playoff races. Since @JasonHigdon is crying in his cola about the Yankees domination this season- I figured I would lay it out there for a discussion.

Yanks-Baltimore-Indians(Refuse to call them Guardians)-Astros all clinched.. Indians and Astros have won their divisions. Yanks need to win one of their next 5 games or a Baltimore loss and they clinch the East. We have KC and Detroit all tied up for the last two spots with the Twins 2 games back. KC and Detroit have been fun to watch this season with young teams. Yanks should end up with home field throughout the playoffs!!!!!

in the NL we have the Phill's and Brewers who have clinched their division with LA and San Diego clinching playoff spots. San Diego is 2 games back of LA. ANyone see the game ending triple play for the Padres to beat LA last night? 5-4-3 crazy ending. We have the Mets-Braves-Diamondbacks fighting for the the last two wild card spots. Mets have a half a game lead over Dbacks and 1 game over Braves. Braves and Mets play tonight and Thursday so playoff baseball atmosphere the rest of the season for all of these teams.

If you just need to get your sports fix in to help with the Gator football disapppointment this is going to be very good watching these last 5 games. Buckle up- going to be awesome to watch... Side note- with the storms coming in to Atl they might have to play a double header Mets-Braves if these games get cancelled... Hope it comes down to the last game for all of these wild card slots.

I have the Yanks coming out of the AL and the Dodgers coming out of the NL.. LFG!!!!

Football One measly tidbit

I was surprised that Napier did not fire Roberts this time last week. It needs to happen. Yes, I too believe that the die has been cast on Billy unless he goes on some crazy tear which will not happen IMO. But the product on the defensive side of the ball is atrocious. No fire. No physicality. No scheming. No organization. No bueno.

Roberts should be gone. One of Billy's weaknesses IMO is his inability/unwillingness to make changes and move on from obvious mistakes in his hirings. It baffles me. Roberts is one of those mistakes.

Roberts has to go.
