An Ole Miss v Kentucky SECCG would be different.
It's all fun and games until Stoops goes to FSU and Kiffin goes to Bama.Would be amazing if two teams that have never played in the SEC champ game got to
Kentucky wins the SEC and Wake forrest wins the ACC. Top 4 ofThat would be crazy.
Unfortunately the money guys in Vegas say Georgia is a 22 1/2 point favorite and they will probably cover.
The scary thing is Florida -10 AT L.S.U.! Tell me the last time that happened? Meyer’s time? Spurrier’s?

AgreeI know Georgia is good, but 22 1/2 points is a lot. I would take the points.
LSU I bet will go after Kiffin or Jimbo.LSU will grab him first, unless they want to spend more than ten million per year on Jimbo.
If LSU threw the bank at him he may consider it. Most coaches would want to have the recruits to try their hand at winning a national championship.People. Stoops isnt going anywhere.
Your coach I am talking about. If he goes 10-2 I think LSU may go after him depending what happens with other coaches.OK. Are we talking about Bob or Mark?
I dont see LSU going after him either. I have heard scuttlebutt about FSU, but how many coaches can they afford to have on their payroll? Nebraska was another one. But who in the hell wants to live in Nebraska? Have you ever been there? Its nothing.Mark Stoops wouldn’t turn down LSU to stay at UK if he ever got that offer. He’s not going to turn down an opportunity to coach at a national championship type program. I don’t see LSU going after him anyways.
No offense but Ky isn't exactly the garden spot of the US. It's one of the 10 poorest states in the country. Now I agree no reason to go to Nebraska over Ky. But if LSU comes calling he will definitely listen. He can win natty's there.I dont see LSU going after him either. What would that do to the 5 star dominance theory by Sikes and Swamp-thing?Kentucky wins the SEC and Wake forrest wins the ACC. Top 4 of
1. Kentucky
2. Iowa
3. Wake Forrest
4. Cincy
Man I would love college football if this happened
People. Stoops isnt going anywhere.
Stoops…Your coach is now the Pretty Girl at the Dance and the other boys are noticing.
I think it would take a top level SEC team like LSU to get him out of there now. Any other jobs he would consider probably aren't coming open after this season.I dont see LSU going after him either. 9th season and he's 55-50 and 28-42 in the conference. That doesn't sound great, but when you consider for years Ky was just a notch above vandy, I agree that's pretty good.Stoops has done a good job at Kentucky.

As I see who is coaching at CU, and if he's willing to relocate to be closer to his kids, this could be the year Colorado looks for a new coach. I'm surprised they Karl Dorrell after his failed stint at UCLA, and his offense stunk against Texas A&M. The only reason why I'd see Stoops leave KY.There have been a few recent threads on the UK board about what Stoops may or may not do after this season regarding coaching vacancies. My personal opinion - the only schools I worry about would be Ohio State and Notre Dame. He has a pretty cushy contract at UK that is essentially an evergreen that rolls out 4 or 5 year at $5M/yr. Expectations at UK are still relatively low compared to places like LSU, where Coach O is probably done if he doesn't win out. The one downside from UK's perspective is that his buyout is really low....I forget the details but it makes it relatively easy for him to be hired away from a dollars standpoint.
On a personal note for Stoops, he and his (now ex) wife divorced within the past year, and she and their two sons have relocated to Colorado. That may or may not play in him leaving and/or where he would go if he does.
Interesting about the Colorado piece. OSU and ND I don't believe will be looking for coaches anytime soon. I agree about the expectations piece at UK. At the end of the day it's still a hoops first school. So in my mind the only potential opening would be LSU.There have been a few recent threads on the UK board about what Stoops may or may not do after this season regarding coaching vacancies. OSU and ND coaches aren't going anywhere. No way is USC and him a fit either. I think if he was to leave everything points to LSU. Not sure if he would consider a place like Penn State if Franklin went to USC. Penn State is in a better position to compete for the conference/playoffs than Kentucky would be however. There have been a few recent threads on the UK board about what Stoops may or may not do after this season regarding coaching vacancies. I would have to say Dan Mullen can/will be a perfect fit at USCw.OSU and ND coaches aren't going anywhere. No way is USC and him a fit either. I think if he was to leave everything points to LSU.
