Who will the Noles blame for this pathetic showing?

That word bad does certainly applies to the FSU DC.

Jimbo is too stupid to fire him though. Asa witnessed by him keeping Trickett around for so long.

He's not stupid, he's too loyal to some coaches that aren't very good. OL was abysmal. Cook is looking at the draft, I don't blame him. OL couldn't block Charleston last week either. Season is over at this point.

That sounds like stupid to me.

Not to worry about the rest of the year. Jimbo usually only has one or two embarrassing losses a year.

So the gators and canes should beat us with no problem right??
You've got to be a Gator pretending to be a nole......I know you guys have inferiority complexes, but I've never seen a case of little man's disease like the one you have...

Jimbo.

MJ was proven correct today. Jameis made him look better than he was. It is what it is. Back to the drawing board....sadly, that darn MNC will keep him around longer than he should. He'd better take advantage of that opportunity and hire a real DC and OC. He needs to pull a Dabo sooner than later.
Nah, just one game on the road in a tough environment against a very good QB....it's football, going to happen sometimes...

For all of the questions about Collins last year he seems to be putting together a hell of a game plan and execution with this defense.

Anyone who has taken the time to look at the Gator DC's coaching record knows what he has done, and can do. Others can continue to talk chit if they want to....

http://floridagators.com/coaches.aspx?rc=475&path=football

And it's not like he's all alone in coaching the Gator defense.

LB's - Randy Shannon

DB's - Torrian Gray

DL - Chris Rumph

I'm not trading those coaches, as a group, for anybody else's in the nation.

The corners are asked to play lock down tight coverage and seem to be up to the task. That is freeing up a lot of people to make sure the rest of the offensive team plays honest.

Rapeis made jimbo look way better than he is, the rapey one was a generational talent so it's back to mediocrity for jimbo

I will take this "bad" Gator DC and the performance of his defense compared to the FSU DC. This year and last year.

I'd take Collins and Kelly if they got to play Vandy, FAU, Charleston Southern, UMASS, and North Texas every week. The problem is 3-6 times a year they have to play an offense with a pulse. Collins may not even have to do that this year. UF faces 1 team this year with a Scoring O currently ranked in the Top 50 - FSU at #37.

Tap your heels three times and keep repeating that to yourself. UK scored 62 points this week.

I will put UFs defensive staff up against ANYBODY's in the country. That includes Collins, Rumph, Shannon and Gray. Find me a better defensive coaching staff? Good luck in your search. Kelly is a terrible DC at FSU becuase his players are just flat out of position. They look soft and lost. That's coaching. Our defense looks like a well coached unit that has a plan. And I see some less heralded recruits developing very good in guys like Zuniga, Sherit, Dawson, Ivie, Bryan all the true freshmen LBs, etc.

After a loss like this nobody job should be safe. We were beaten like a drum on both sides of the ball, special teams and coaching. It was a total disaster of a game. Offense can't block anyone and defense doesn't know what the hell to do. Receivers run free in our secondary on a regular basis. We literally could lose to anyone on our remaining schedule. Jimbo needs to be forced to make staff changes and if he refuses then I wonder if LSU still want him.

It is probably not all that bad.

FSU has three legitimate tough opponents left; Miami, Clemson and Florida. Will he lose all three? Probably not.

But here is the concern, from an FSU standpoint. Fisher almost always loses to a vastly inferior opponent. He has not done that this year...yet.

So apparently FSU is 6-4 in their last 10 games, 4-4 in their last 8 if you remove FCS games. That's crazy given their recruiting.

Meh, at Clemson, Houston and at Louisville. That's 13-1, 12-1 and whatever Louisville finishes. L'ville isn't as good as we made them look but that dude is Michael Vick with a coach that knows offense. There aren't too many teams that would beat those I listed. We won't discuss Georgia Tech as that has been beaten to death. Jimbo made a mistake with Golson last year and it took that loss to make him understand that he wasn't any good.

Agree on the combination of Jackson and Petrino. That offense looked like stopping it was going to require NCAA rule changes. The Houston and Clemson games should be pretty crazy, but if Jackson plays like that, I'm not sure either can keep up.

Spewing bs like that, I know why it's referred to as tallycrappy...

FSUcks in 2015:

4-8 Syr
3-9 TxSt
3-9 BC
3-9 WF
3-9 GT (and they freakin' lost to them)
D2 Tn-Chatta-nooooga

While UF played 5 teams with 10+ win, and 2 more with 9 wins.o_O

Kelly isn't any good. I doubt you're going to find many people saying otherwise.

You can choose to believe whatever makes you feel better. You have a shitty DC and an average game day HC. If I had to put up with that...wait we DID have to put up with that. We were just smart enough to fire the bad coaches.

That was a terrible game, no doubt, but FSU is still a good team.

They DO have a lot of talent. Given that, it has really got to make the FSU fans uneasy that in three of the last four games, it seems like the players came out unprepared to play well. They did finally find themselves against Ole Miss. But not against Houston and UL.

All that points to poor coaching.

They will probably out talent USF, WF, NC State, BC and Syracuse. Not sure about the rest of their games though

Cook is mailing it in, for sure. He wont pick up a blitz.

Until I see FSU put 4 quarters together I won't consider them a good team.

He had surgery on his shoulder during the offseason and looks to be protecting it. He's not running hard at all. If it continues Jimbo needs to tell him to shut it down and let Patrick and the other backs get his carries.

Disagree. I can respect talent and they have a ton of it, but they're not a cohesive team. That secondary is atrocious even though it features good individual talents and their oline rivals ours for incompetence, you can't be a 'good' team with a line that bad. They also have very small receivers who can't separate and no depth at linebacker. They should still win 9-10 games though.
