Which team improves more in 2019?

'3rd and Grantham,,,' OR '4th and Dumb?'

6. UF
7. LSU
8. UGly

I'm sticking with the Grantham choice... :cool:

Mullen, before speaking to a crowd of Gator fans in Palm Beach on Wednesday, was asked about his confidence in keeping Grantham given the lure of coaching again in the NFL which he has already done. Mullen wasn’t phased about Grantham who he has worked with longer than DL (1 Yr) Sal Sunseri (to UA) and CB (1 Yr) Charlton Warren (to UGly) who decided to head elsewhere. (their replacements were both up-grades for Dan/UF imoho - iG)

Grantham was a huge success in his one year with Mullen at Mississippi State, taking a defense that was ranked 110 in total defense in 2016 before his arrival and in 2017 moving the Bulldogs to the 10th ranked total defense in the country. At Florida in 2018, the defense faced some issues with injuries and shortcomings in certain areas and the 10-3 Gators moved up a modest three spots in total defense from 31 in 2017 to 28 in 2018, relying on plenty of youth while learning a new defensive scheme to get things done.

“I felt confident,” Mullen said about keeping Grantham in Gainesville. “A lot of people came after him both in college and the NFL. A lot of people came after him and I think it shows he’s a great defensive coordinator. I think it shows where we’re at as a program and where we’re headed as a program that he feels that being at Florida is a better opportunity than all the top-notch colleges that came after him and some NFL teams.” :p

2018. Georgia 36 - 3nG Florida 17
2017. Georgia 31 - 3nG Miss St 3
2014. Georgia 37 - 3nG Louisville 14

Whatever, it was 2016. But you still went 4-7 in 2017. Much better, right?

The point, here, is the year of the hurricane we BEAT LSU. So explain how we chickenshitted our way out of losing to LSU in a year we BEAT THEM.

Your problem is, being an idiot. Sadly, there is no cure.

Like I said I fvcked it up. Big whup. 4-7 is accurate though.

Not the 1st time that you've crapped in your lunch box,,, nor will it be the last... :rolleyes:

But hey, in your own lifetime, what's the UF / UGly W/L record? o_O
(more crickets or unrelated confetti coming in 5...4...3...) :rolleyes:

Jimmy Carter is probably laughing too, remember him?
Yeah. That guy sucked.
Don't you wish you had a tenth of his accomplishments?

And Eisenhower warned everyone about the 'Military / Industrial Complex' in his leaving office 'Swan-Song speech.'

They set-up and then stabbed Jimmy in the back with the 'Iran Hostage debacle,' just like they did JFK with the 'Bay of Pigs' fiasco. Those were the last 2 decent democrat Presidents. Total tool scum-bags since then imoho,,,, :cool:

They are also the ones that run places like Area 51, outside of all governmental oversight... o_O

~~~~ Oh Shit! The black cars are circling the neighborhood again, and I think I can hear a black helo coming back... ;) --- To much truth can become unhealthy... :oops:
Things to consider from the 2018 season.
CB Marco Wilson So -- 1st Team Fr All SEC, went down for the season early in the 1st quarter vs kensucky.
CB C.J. Henderson So -- 2nd Team Fr All SEC, went down early in the 1st quarter vs UGly.
Leaving UF to play UGly without either of it's All SEC CB starters.
So what's going to be different in the 2019 WLOCP? (barring injuries)
4-0 against who? Smh
Against 3 teams plus #7 Mich. They also had the #1 defense in the NCAA.
#10 UF 41 - 15 Mich #7 (-26)
#5 UGly 21 - 28 Tex #15 (+7)
Final Results:
6. UF
8. UGly
But of course you always attempt to select your cherries to pic... :rolleyes:
Just like you nuttlicker twits never mention that UF lost that game without either of their starting All SEC CB's, Wilson and Henderson. --- Both will be back for 2019, plus Dean who is also a Fr All SEC, with 4 more FNG's that have Fr All SEC potential. o_O
Cherry picking? You're the one making excuses here about injuries. Do you want me to go that route?
The talent gap in JAX this year is actually going to be wider than 2018. #cantwait :D
They like to make the injury excuse for last year’s loss, meanwhile I hear nothing about all the players we were missing on that glorious day in Jacksonville :cool:
Sort of like how y'all still think we're coached by Shark Boy and Muschamp? You'd think y'all have run off 4 or 5 straight the way y'all talk. Guess we're too dumb to see the historic UGA run coming.
No, I think Mullen is a very good coach. But you can’t win in the SEC today if you don’t recruit at an elite level. You’re currently replacing average to above average talent with average to above average talent. Perhaps Mullen will prove me wrong. If he does I’ll give you credit, which is something Kirby doesn’t get from any of you clowns.
Well this whole post is wrong. Mullen just signed our first composite top 10 class in 5 years. His blue chip ratio is also near 70% so far, McElwain never got north of 50%.
I really don't get where this idea that Mullen isn't a good recruiter is coming from. His transition class was the highest rated in modern UF history, yes even higher than Spurrier and Meyer. His first full class just finished 8th. Considering we've sucked for 10 years and have won just 4 games twice in the last 5 years, that's a fine recruiting job. We don't have a lot to sell right now. We just got in the top 100 on offense after 7 years. Try recruiting to that.
We will have more talent on this UF team in a few years than we have ever had since Meyer.
Florida’s recruiting classes should never finish outside the top 5. What did Mullen’s all world class get you? 5th or 6th in the SEC? Sounds pretty average to me...
Teams who suck for 10 years typically don't have top 5 recruiting classes. And nobody said the class was all-world, just refuting your point about it being average or on the same level of the classes leaving here. That's factually wrong.
So the 8th ranked recruiting class in the country is just average? Got it!
And since you said the talent on the team is just average to slightly above average how did UF finish 8th in the country? Obviously the coaching is very good and now that Mullen is bringing in better talent that is on the current roster due to poor recruiting by McElwain your going to have very good coaching with improved talent. UF is only going to improve once the talent level gets better than what it currently is. UF already has the coaching now the staff is improving the talent that was left behind by McElwain.
