Millionaires shed money in donations for tax bracket adjustments and offsets. They have an elevated opinion of themselves and generally strut their money in charitable fundraisers to boost their ego, tax status, assuage their guilt, maybe even because they’re good peeps .... but just their participation raises $$$. Trump has been to countless of these events..... and has hosted several public and privately. These are true charities with the money leaving the participants. No argument that there is self interest here often as well..... but actual charities prevail..... unlike the bottomless pit of traditional career politicians
