whats the standard for the east being the worst?

Wtf are you talking about? The old GA coach is now in the acc after being fired. What the acc needs is somebody other than fsu to win a title.

Richt is still a quality coach. He was at UGA for what? 15 yrs?

Hes a proven winner. Is he the best? No. But he is a top 25 coach. Him and uga jus needed a fresh start.

Clemson is there and should have beat bama last year. I know they didnt but the ACC is better rightnow than the SEC. First time in a LONG time and it has been trending that way the last 3 years

Marc Richt was 145 and 51 at UGA....not terrible

But still, look at all the data between records and matchups.

For all the "winning the SEC east means nothing because it sucks" is that really the truth?

Winning the East is a worthy goal, every year. Can't meet any higher goals without getting that one first. But to be abused by Arkansas and FSU, and toyed with by Bama, tells us that we are far from where we should be.

The East is a lot like the ACC in the 90's (sans FSU). When we are beating the East the way FSU beat the ACC in those days, then we will be where we believe we should be. But to be winning games by a little and losing to good teams by 3 TD's, that's not cutting it.

The ACC has a couple of very good QB's. When they go, the league will fall back.

Agree on the fsu and acc in the 90s comment vs the gates and sec now.

I still have no idea how LSU managed to lose to us with 500 yards of offense

Goats don't have to when things are in place, his program and system sold itself, kids had to get in where they fit in...

Spurrier not taking recruiting seriously is why he lost to FSU around 60% of the time or whatever it was. I remember seeing a breakdown of it one time and the 95 and 96 teams were really the only ones that came from recruiting classes as good as FSUs were and it happened to be when Zook was recruiting for us in those seasons before that.
