Way Over-hyped battle of the Undefeateds, ND vs Clemp's-son...

No, as of right now the ACC is not a good conference. I just don't believe it's by far the worst. I don't believe there is that big a gap between the Big 10, Big 12 and ACC.
Just stop......you're embarrassing yourself.

Maybe so. But that time has passed. We're done being Muschamped. And after that long dark four years..... The ACC still sucks in football. And year in and year out the bottom half of the SEC would dominate them

The bottom half of the SEC couldn't dominate the MAC.

Well, according to your "logic", you should have no problem dominating the only ACC team on your schedule. Congrats.

We listened while the bottom half of the SEC said the same stuff last year...until the season was over and they saw their heroes fall to OOC opponents.

Always makes me laugh to watch folks clutch to their conference for security.

Another college football year going by and again we see why Bowden chose the ACC. It is just such a very weak football conference. He knew it would be easy to win lots of games.

The reason I likenanstrong conference is simply for entertainment purposes. Most of our conference schedule are games worth watching.

You guys hope Clemson won't pull a Clemson until you play them, end of season UF game, although we have been down and a bowl game.
Yawn fest.

What's funny is that you guys think you are a better team than Duke. You're not.
What's even funnier is that in a head-to-head you would pick Duke to win. Even I have a hard time believing that so I'm thinking you're just trolling with that comment and trying to stir the pot in a feeble attempt to prop up your lame conference.

I'm not sure why you guys think Duke is still some garbage team like they were a number of years ago but they are not. They are very well coached and every year they have an excellent offense with very good playmakers. If you guys played Duke it would probably be a pick 'em and if you were favored it wouldn't be by more than 3.

Who has the all time W/L record between UF and FSUcks?
The same goes for the SEC vs ACC in all time W/L record.
And in 2014 The SEC put an NCAA record 12 teams into bowl games.

BCS-NC's - SEC = 9 by 5 different teams -- ACC = 2 by only 1 team.
~ 13-1 Georgia got hosed in 2002 and 13-0 AU got hosed in 2004.
(it should be 11 BCS-NC's by 6 different teams) o_O
--------------------
And to your other pointless bs, there's this.

The bottom half of the 2014 SEC in Bowl Games went 5-2: Both losers
were from the SECw, as the SECe went 5-0 in their Bowl Games. :p
Leaving the SEC with a winning bowl record in 2014 at 7-5.
The SEC won 7 bowl game in 2014, how many did the ACC win? (crickets)

W 8-5 aTm 45 - 37 W.Va 7-6 (-8)

L 8-5 AU 31 - 34 Wis 11-3 (+3 >>> vastly over matched, see W/L records)

L 8-5 LSU 28 - 31 ND 8-5 (+3)

W 7-5 UF 28 - 20 ECU 8-5 (-8)

W 7-6 Tn 45 - 28 Iowa 7-6 (-17)

W 7-6 SCa 24 - 21 Miami 6-7 (-3)

W 7-6 Ark 31 - 7 Tex 6-7 (-24)

The 2 losses were only by 3 points each, both to higher ranked teams.

There are many things that you're not sure of, and many more where you're just FoS.

Prior to the last 2 seasons, Dukie had 18 consecutive LOSING SEASONS dating back to 1994.

In their last 2 ACC winning seasons, they have gone on to lose both bowl games:

2014 9-4 Dukie 31 - 36 AzSt 10-3 (+5)

2013 10-4 ACC runner-up Dukie 48 - 52 aTm 9-4 (+4)

I used to think that hardliner was not just a typical FSU fan. That he was a click better. Hell, I am no longer sure that he is better than typical. I think the boy might be worse.

GT was not favored to win the ACC.

You are right. GaTech was ranked 2nd in the ACC, behind Clemson and ahead of FSU

So, by this standard, if Duke is better than Florida, they are also better than FSU? After all, they beat the team that was ranked higher than FSU in the preseason. Oh, and according to ESPN, VaTech was ranked 4th in the ACC.

So, ECU just beat the 4th best team in the ACC

The ACC is the worst of the Power 5 conferences yet again. The supposed top half ACC teams in VT and Miami can't even beat AAC teams. Look at the ACC. Over half the teams in the conference are just bad football teams.

Half of the reason that GT got all that preseason love was the way they ran over Georgia and Mississippi State at the end of last year.

Well, given they have not won a bowl games in since, just about forever, I doubt it would cause musch consternation from the Gator Nation.

But that aside, would FSU fans fear playing Duke? If they are so good, I guess you guys got off lucky this year.

Virginia Tech??? Duke possibly being ranked doesn't speak well for the rest of the conference.

Duke possibly being ranked doesn't speak well for teams behind them. As I have mentioned before I am thankful I don't have to hide behind another schools success to prop myself up. We own the state and our conference. That is plenty good for me.

So you're saying you're not interested in seeing my neighbor's shiny new car??

Are you in danger of losing your SEC fan talking points subscription? Aren't you supposed to be saying "bowl games don't count"? I mean...they don't when SEC teams lose right?

That comment would qet you banned at WC.
The only thing I will say about bowl games is that they are unevenly matched when it comes to the SEC. I know you're an fsu fan so this is lost on you but it's true. Every year the # 6 sec team will play the #3 big 10 team or #5 sec will play #2 ACC. (those are examples, not sure if that's the exact match ups). In spite of this, most years the sec still dominates the bowl season. But let one year be like last year and here come the nulls. Flaming away. Let us match up evenly, like maybe our #2 vs acc #2 and it would be ugly. Oh, that's right, our #2 plays bcs and yours plays the Poulan Weedeater bowl. The bowl committees know it would be a joke that's why we have to play up.

What? wtf are you babbling on about?

The 2014 Bowl Season that some are yappin' about went thus:

The SEC had the most Bowl Teams (12) in a single season in NCAA History.

Those 12 SEC teams went 7-5 in their Bowl Games.
Looks like a winning record with 7 Bowl winners to me.
How many bowl wins did the other conferences have last year, more than 7???

So far, you guys (Gators) are looking better than your recent "usual". Maybe you'll beat the ACC team you play this year. :)

One of the worst Gator teams in the last 30 years had the pride of the ACC on the ropes last year. If we'd had a pulse on offense, we beat you in your backyard.

Did you not say the SEC bottom dwellers would "dominate" the ACC earlier. Now you're whining about the bowl matchups not being even. I'm pretty sure the #1 SEC played FSU a couple years ago and we know how that turned out.

Regardless.

Georgia players and coaches and fans are insufferable.

Has a team ever acted like more while accomplishing less on college football history? For a decade they thug it up and primp and preen. All for a team with a ceiling of a nice bowl. Signed, multiple national champion Florida, LSU and Alabama.

Not much on following uga, simply saw the CBS lead in which had their kids acting like punks on the Alabama sideline. Just a quick note to any uga trolls that will whip out the obsessed line.

The ACC just looks worse and worse after every game. NC State just lost to Lville in NC State. Weren't FSU fans just telling us how good NC State is? LOL. The ACC is without a doubt the weakest conference in the country of the top 5.

According to the Noles earlier in this thread, NCState and Miami would soon be ranked.

Year in and year out they would. I would take Kentucky or Miss State against the bottom 10 teams in the ACC in a heartbeat. And I'm not whining. Yes we had a "down" year as a conference last year. And still fielded 12 bowl teams and won 7 bowls. And yes most of those were against teams that had better records and finished higher in their respective conferences.

Duke has finished with a better record than UF in each of the past 3 seasons. UF being ranked and atop the SEC East is far more alarming.. for now.

You're not speaking about the teams that are 7-1 against your conference though.........right? That just wouldn't be logical

As bad as Florida was under mudchamp, if we played duke's schedule we would've had a better record too. How many times did duke play Bama or LSU or any other team with a pulse. That IS the point we're trying to make.
As an fsu fan you just need to brace yourself for the ass kicking Clemson and Florida are gonna give you.
