Please don't attempt to debate me on when life begins. It's a Christian belief because it is a fact of nature. If you can tell me when life begins other than at conception, I'd certainly begin worshiping you instead of Jesus Christ.

We have adopted a child. We couldn't have children of our own. And to your concept of what constitutes a baby, what if one is born without arms or legs? Or has a genetic defect? Is it not a baby? Does it not have a soul? Please don't argue this point. Please consider this notion that the baby cannot be asked if it wants to die before breathing air. When you were born, did you have to depend upon your mother and father to nurture you? Or were you able to feed yourself? Did you come out of your mother's womb completely developed into an adult standing let's say 5'10"? Did you weight 200 pounds? So there's development outside of the womb? Wow, what a concept. Bones continue to grow at growth plates. The brain continues to form as well as body functions. Neurologically, you don't continue to poop and pee in a diaper, right? Shall I continue?
This is where you and I differ. There's a thing called quality of life. I believe a baby with no arms or legs is better off not being born. Same with genetic defects, depending on how severe. I don't believe in souls so thats moot. You need to understand that not every religion has the same reverence for life yours does. My religion says that until a fetus is viable, with or without extraordinary measures, its not a baby. My religion says a woman grown to breeding age is more important than a child who hasnt been born yet.
Im not arguing the point. Im curious though, where do you think aborted babies go when they die? I would think straight to heaven, which is the endgame of your religion, no?

Not everyone believes that life begins at concept or killing a developing fetus is murder. Is it ending a life? Absolutely, and it seems to me that's between them and whatever God they worship.
Im beginning to think grandhaven is right, being rigid on this issue is a dog. I think first trimester and exceptions for life of the mother, incest, rape and severe genetic defects is the way to go.
