You seem to be implying that something is happening to Zelensky that he would like to avoid. It appears that he's getting exactly what he wants: A continuation of the war, so he can continue to profit off it.
He's had multiple chances to end the fighting and he refuses every opportunity. Just a few days ago, Putin offered a ceasefire during Easter. Zelensky refused.
I get that you remember the 'glory days' of Reagan taking down the Ruskies. But the Cold War ended 35 years ago. Yes, Putin is a bad guy.
But the actor is literally killing his people for money. I don't see how it gets much worse than that.
