Team has played tough defense all game and with 7:33 left are up by 9, just like they were at half. They should be ahead by 20, but every time they have a chance to extend the lead it seems like Kasey Hill does something stupid. Hope we can hang on, with both Egbunu and Hayes having 4 fouls.

Unless we go 0-6 against SEC NCAA tourney teams again like last year but I don't see this team doing that.

I'm beginning to think that he either stole your girl, or he punked you out in a pick-up game at the playground...

PG Kasey Hill - 10 Pts, 6 Ast (he has 21 Pts and 17 assists in his last 2 games)
With his 6 assists, Hill has passed Vernon Delancy for 5th on UF's all-time career assist list.
Hill already has 432 career assists. (Scottie Wilbekin 419 -- Taurean Green 397)
Hill is averaging 4.8 Ast/Gm so far this season.
He was a starting PG for BillyD and for Mike White, are they stupid for starting him? o_O

A real tough day/night for the Piggie Fans: :(
VaTech 35 - 24 Ark
UF 81 - 72 Ark

You Hill fans list his assists, but never mention the turnovers and terrible shooting. I'll take Wilbekin, Green & several other points guards we've had over the years ahead of Hill just because of consistency, taking care of the ball and being able to make a layup and hit a decent percentage of 3's. He does have a good game every now and then, but for a 5 star senior, his career has been one of underachievement.

Yep Hill is hurting us many times. If we had a good point guard we could beat anyone right now on a given night.

How many times has Kasey embarrassed UF with off the court chit? (zero)
How many games has he missed due to academic failures? (zero)
Others can take whomever they want at PG, However, me, BD, and MW are all sticking with Kasey... :p

but he does do something stupid to keep teams in games
So let's all concentrate on the few stupid things that ALL of the players do occasionally, instead of their many positives. Makes sense to me...

That's just BS. Avoiding NOTHING in Kasey Hill's Stats.
Career to date:

112 Gm's, Ave 26 Min/Gm, FG 40%, 3Pt 30%, FT 58.8% (2016 74.4%),
Per Gm Ave -- Ast 3.7, TO 2.0, RB 2.3, Stl 1.2, PF 2.2, Pts 7.5
Feel free to show us how bad that is, in comparison to any others.

JMOHO's of course, but he's better all around than Wilbekin.
Wilbekin had 417 assists in 4 seasons. (and more than 1 suspension)
Hill already has 432 with 20+ games remaining. o_O

And he's never had Brewer, Horford, Noah, and Humphrey surrounding him, like Green had. Plus Green had BillyD stability for all 3 years, before bailing out early to play his pro ball in Europe. Hill had 2 with BD and now 2 with MW while staying for all 4 years, instead of transferring out or turning pro early.
You're one of the very few Hill HATERS, and that's for good reasons imo.
And I'm not hating on Wilbekin or Green, they were good Gator PG's too.

Need Good Gator PG's? WTF???
Kasey Hill 6-1 175 Sr ***** MickyD AA (at 6-1, he can DUNK!)
Chris Chiozza 6-0 176 Jr **** (lightening quick)
How often does any team really bother UF with a full court press? Hill and Chi are 2 of the best ball handlers in college B-Ball in more than just moho.

Eric Hester 6-3 187 **** - rivals National Overall Ranking 112

We need bigger guards.

Incoming class, early ranking:
Michael Okauru 6-3 180 ***
Offers: Kansas, Clemson, GaTech, Rutgers...

2014 VaTech recruit, xfer to UF/White:
SG/PG Jalen Hudson 6-6 190 Jr (redshirt, available next season)

Good B-Ball discussions so far imo. :)

CG, PF/C Hayes has played great as a Gator imo.
Except for Doe-doe, he would have played more last year.
And this year, filling in for Big John, he's actually out playing him in some areas.
John's got the RB's and Blk's, but Hayes has the speed, energy and shooting %.
It's really nice when you can have them both at the same time.

While Mike White is still building up his brand at UF, I agree that he's recruiting pretty well already.

White's guys have included:
(Soph's retained from BillyD's last recruit class)
SG KeVaughn Allen 6-2 183 So (he had to be re-recruited)
PF/C Kevarrious Hayes 6-9 218 So (he was always a Gator)
* The team actually has 3 Speical-K's imo.... :)

SF Justin Leon 6-8 208 Sr (JuCo xfer)
SF Canyon Barry 6-6 215 Sr (Grad xfer)
SG/PG Jalen Hudson 6-6 190 Jr (VaTech - redshirting, available 2017-18)

PF Keith Stone 6-8 240 rsFr (this young man has a really bright Gator future)
C Gorjok Gak 6-11 231 Fr
PF Dontay Bassett 6-9 222 Fr
PG Eric Hester 6-3 187 Fr

Incoming 2017 Class:

PG Michael Okauru 6-3 180 - Wolfeboro, NH
SF DeAundre Ballard 6-6 180 - Atlanta, Ga
PF Chase Johnson 6-7 190 - Huntington, WV
C Isaiah Stokes 6-9 255 - Bradenton, FL (Memphis, TN)
~ Maybe a new 'round-mound of rebound?'

lol - those aren't good numbers shooting for a PG. Hill wont ever sniff playing in the NBA with his limited ability. Hill is a liability on defense also against bigger guards unlike Wilbekin who played real good defense.

Dan Cross's shooting as a point guard made Hill's look laughable and we don't even need to mention the PG play on our championship teams. Teddy Dupay played a lot of point guard also and his shooting blew Hill's away.

Hill's a very good perimeter defender. To fixate on his shooting misses the point. That's not his game. His game is putting pressure on the other team by driving the ball. Would they be better if they had someone better, like Wilbekin and Taurean Green, of course. Just like we'd be better if you replaced Egbunu with Al Horford or D-Rob with Corey Brewer. If he's not one of our top 3 players, which he has been so far this year, we're going nowhere.

Hill is out of control many times he drives resulting in bad things. My opinion is if we had a good balanced PG (doesn't have to be one of the top ones in the country) we would be a threat to anyone in the tournament in a one game situation and a valid top 8 or so team. I just hope he can calm down some and improve his overall game.

First off, don't just talk your usual crap. Instead put up their stats for everyone's comparison. I don't need your usual biased opinions on what you think you know.

And then list all of the PG's that are now currently available to replace Hill....
Otherwise, you're just whistling past the graveyard.

And I'd especially like to see how Dupay or maybe Jason Williams finished out their Sr seasons at UF.... o_O (crickets)

And this started out about how terrible Hill is. I never argued that he is the best PG in UF or B-Ball history. Your own attempt to switch the debate shows just how FoS you are.

Kasey is capable of playing very, very well. He is also capable of being completely out of control.

His primary purpose is to create scoring opportunities for his teammates, while being able to score himslef if necessary. All while limiting his turnovers. He also needs to play good defense.

When he plays well, we usually win.

Both BillyD and Mike White were PG's before becoming coaches. They have both chosen to use Hill as their PG starter. But hey, maybe some of you posting here know a lot more about PG play than they do...

Hill has been the starter in every game this season, and he's playing lights out imo so far.
Every player on the team occasionally gets out of control or has a bad or dumb play, so what?
When they all play error free and as a total team, then they never lose. Of course, that also never happens for any team that I've ever seen play the game. Most times, a team wins in spite of having some bad plays along the way.

As far as going on to the NBA goes, I think that Jason 'Weedy' Williams was the last Gator PG to go to the NBA and do well there. Neither Green (9 years in EU) nor Wilbekin has made or stayed with an NBA team, so if Hill doesn't either, it's no big deal imo. Besides, I'm a Gator fan, not a Pro B-Ball fan.

There are around 350 D1 teams with 2 PG's at least per team (700). (UF has 3)
How many starting Pro PG slots are there? Now, how many are open each season?
Now tell me how many college PG's will leave school after this season and even make an NBA team, much less start for one?

You know the stats so point them out if I am wrong. You are the one usually using the exact stats to make your points. I gave you some names now go compare.

I already know and I don't really G-a-S if you continue to look/sound stupid to the others here that also know. Look it up for yourself, (if you even know how) or remain as ignorant as you usually appear to be.
