UF -36 vs. Mean Green

Why do you care what we say? It doesn't matter what we think.

However, if you lose to Louisville, do you really not think that would be a "bad" loss?

Admittedly, they aren't half of the team FSU is talent wise. You guys should win this game comfortably. There is no way you should lose to Louisville. It's the truth.
We'll see how good Louisville's offense is but at the end of the day defense will win this game...FSU has a very good one and UL's is not going to stop FSU for 4 quarters....only way that Louisville wins is to play lights out on offense and win the turnover battle +2.

Again Louisville isn't that good on defense. That is their weakness. In addition to that they don't have a good DC.

You should petition Foley to schedule a home and home with them before he retires. That way Mac can light up the scoreboard.

In reality, all the Noles have to do is march out the FSU porn chick. Petrino will probably get distracted and blow the play calls. We all know he's freaky like that.

I know their QB would have to learn how to pass REAL quick against our defense, and the same with FSU's.. He isn't just gonna be running around in circles on these types of teams, you are gonna see how much of a passer he is real soon.

Sadgator is on to something here. Which porn chick does Sadgator think would be best? Too bad it isn't a Nole home game, they'd all be there.

So UL's offense is suspect because they've played Charlotte and Syracuse but UF's defense is awesome after UMASS and Kentucky? Got it.

that's pretty amusing if that's how you took that or think that's comparable.. The players on UF's defense ive seen play more than two games and do just what they are doing now against the highest level of play in the college game... That unit is a known commodity, same with FSU but they lost a couple guys for this game..

I don't know much about UL or have time to pay a lot of attention to them but I know this QB hasn't been doing this for long or against anything resembling decent yet, I watched the first game and he was doing everything I've seen a thousand times with these "athletic" qb's.. There's a few of these on a yearly basis that just disappear after the first few defenses they face from the hype in the media.. What I do know about UL is their DC, i've pointed out to an actual 8 year old before to figure out for me what they were doing on defense during a game... he came back to me and said "are they doing the same thing every time?" lol

he's either very lucky with that correct answer/question or has the same IQ in his current state of age as Grantham

Really? Kind of a dumb statement don't you think? UFs defense has been good for years and is a proven commodity. Louisville's defense has not and certainly not with Grantham as their DC. The Lville D has also given up 42 points to 2 bad teams this year that aren't that good offensively. Sorry If I'm not convinced that Louisville is good on defense.

UF's defense was certainly a proven commodity under Strong and Muschamp. The jury is very much out on Collins. But I didn't mention UL's defense in the post you quoted. I was pointing out that people questioning how good UL's offense was because of their first 2 opponents could easily say the same about UF's defense. Shutting down UMASS and Kentucky doesn't really tell us much.

We haven't seen that from them under Collins.

I agree that Grantham isn't a great DC though.

Why is the jury still out on Collins? Collins UF defense last year gave up less points per game and less yards per game than the 2014 defense under Muschamp.

Your defense has looked good this year.
They did give us some long pass plays last year, but that was probably attributed to the lack of offensive production. They were on the field a lot.

Because he's only been the DC for 1 year and in that 1 year UF played 6 teams that had an offense with a pulse (UT, Ole Miss, LSU, FSU, Bama, & Michigan) and the defense was average to terrible in 5 of those 6 games. Now, one year does not a trend make, but the discrepancy last year between how UF's defense played vs. unranked teams and how they played vs. ranked teams was staggering.

Well, since this is supposed to be a match up between two learning institutions AND I hear Bobby is in to motorcycles, let's go with one of the bad girl teachers:

you mean how the offense played was staggering

the evidence is overwhelming and about as obvious as humanly possible, especially the fsu game. my God he could have taken snaps with his back turned and not done worse

And your point is what exactly? Statistically speaking UF had one of the best defenses in the country last year. Statistically speaking the UF 2015 defense was better than the Muschamp 2014 season.

Now you move the goalposts and say only because he had been the DC for 1 year at UF. Hilarious. Well his 1 year was pretty darn good. Right now it looks like Year 2 is going to be very good again defensively for UF.

you're right, they were even better than the stats show, they are every year because of the offense putting them out there so much longer than they should be.

Not to mention UF had a stat padding game versus Idaho cancelled in 2014. "Better statistically"....wonder how that happened?

that's just what happens after they play us bruh, we mentally scar them for the rest of the season batter and bruise them to deff.

You guys say this about every highly ranked team FSU plays. That way if FSU wins you can go "See, told you that Team X was overrated" and if FSU loses you can go "Wow. FSU lost to Team X? That's a bad loss." It's hilarious.
Nah man. Just attempting the ole reverse jinx. It's worked for thousands of years

FSU has a very good (elite, in fact) defensive line, but the back 7 is very much a work in progress. I hope you're right though. I think this is pretty close to a 50/50 game. Hence the Vegas line.

SK's analysis might mean something if the sample sizes were comparable. Florida played 6 ranked team last year. That is second most of any team with a total defense ranking in the top 50. Nearly half (17) the teams ranked ahead of Florida (Florida is ranked 37) in 2015 total defense only played one or two ranked teams.

And most of the ranked teams that Florida faced were after Grier was suspended. A good offense that does not go 3 and out can sometimes be helpful to the defense
