25% tariff on ALL METAL is punitive. There need to be exclusions based in reality. This is a hatchet when we need a scalpel.
Things like commodity steel fasteners (nails and screws) will never be economical to make in the US, as an example.
No sane person is mad about ferreting out corruption and waste.

I think it is a good idea, but going at the problem with a bull dozer and attacking w/o any thought what damage can be done is the work of those who don't care what happens to good people and organizations.. Both Trump and Musk IMO are looking to enrich the rich and themselves and the hell with everyone else, ie most of the people. The top 5% of the people in this country know that Trump and the people In Congress will be fine whatever he does so they go along with it, the rest don't know what to do. Just my thoughts my friend.
Thank you for answering, it appears they are finding most of the organizations are not so great and the corrupt people running them are not so great either. The good ones will be reestablished, but there is too much graft in the system to leave everything standing. My 2 cents ...

Little stock market lesson. You do not lose until you sell. Stay put, the market never went up faster than it did pre covid. Tariff uncertainty is doing this. I truly wish he would have passed the tax cuts before he started playing hard ball...but again, he is WAY smarter than I am.
