It was a Manhattan jury. Really difficult to find an impartial one in that burrough. It's a prerequisite to hate Trump if you live there.I didn't follow the case, but the jurors found him liable. It wasn't NY state, it wasn't an angry Soros prosecutor or whatever you guys say to feel better. It was civil case between Trump and Carroll. The jury believed her and not him. I am just telling you guys the end result.
And you're wrong, they didn't believe her because they didn't find him liable for rape. That was her claim, that in the middle of a crowded dept store he pushed her into a dressing room and violently raped her, then left, with no one noticing. Keep in mind, he was still a celebrity in 1996. It's completely made up.
But the verdict was basically "I hate this guy so I have to find him guilty of something". You cannot find someone guilty of sexual battery but not rape when the claim is rape...it's impossible. It would require the jury to change the course of events, which would mean they didn't believe her in the first place.
