Trevor Etienne?

Dumbass was traveling 80-90 in a 50 mph zone, declined a field sobriety test, and swaying back and forth while standing on a flat ground. The arresting officer asked for his license but handed over his car keys.

WOW

ET left UF for a place where he'd 'fit-in' better,,, and it seems that he's found it.... (thankfully, this 'drama queen' has left the building)

Georgia football players were arrested or cited for speeding or reckless driving at least 14 times last year after the Jan. 15, 2023 crash that killed offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy. Speeding and alcohol played a role in that crash, police said.

In addition to DUI, Etienne was also charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain lane/improper driving on the road and affixing materials that reduce visibility of windows/windshield. The DUI charge is classified as "less safe," which in Georgia means he can be convicted even if his blood alcohol level is less than .08.

He was being counted on to be a major cog in the Bulldogs' running game this season.

Consequently -- "As we also know, kids sometimes don't make the best decisions," Smart said. "The older you get, sometimes the tougher the consequences are for your mistakes."

Under athletic department policy,
Etienne will miss 10% of Georgia's season -- which equates to at least one game under the Bulldogs' 12-game schedule -- if found guilty of DUI. (so, does a plea-deal get him off the suspension hook?)

Do not be surprised if Mama Etienne sends him back to the portal after the 2024 season. There are other veteran backs who are just as good as he is as well as 2-3 incoming freshmen who were hyped during the 2023 recruiting season. Etienne is most likely the only back on that roster who can't block.

If it helps him win games, he absolutely will. He learned from saban...
Bowl Cut Kirby has running backs who are better than Etienne. There are also 3 incoming freshmen, while at least one of them may see the field more than Trevor.

I agree that uga has at least 1 RB who is better, and another that most likely is just as good, but kirby aint no saint...he will try and win at any cost.

From UF's Spring Roster: Getting to know the RB's for 2024.

RB Montrell Johnson 5-11.25 213 Sr 2022 LA xfer, a 2 Yr primary starter at UF

RB Treyaun Webb 5-11 215 So (better than ET in the iG's OHO)
Webb layed in 11 games both as a reserve RB and on special teams as a tFr…
He had 163 Yds on 26 attempts, 6.3 ypc, 2 TD's, and 4 catches for 18 yards…

2X FL 2A State Champ - Selected to the 2022 Super 11

RB Jadan Baugh 6-0.75 237 Fr - EE
HS Sr - 113 for 1,583 yds, 14.0 ypc, 19 TD's.

RB KD Daniels 5-11.5 196 Fr - EE
MS 5A Mr. Football. 5A State Champs and the MVP.
HS Sr - 288 for 2,737 Yds, 9.5 ypc, 29 TD's.

(if ET leaving facilitated these 2 kids coming, then that's a great trade-off imo)

RB Anthony Rubio 5-9 180 rsFr - PWO

PLUS - QB-dt DJ Lagway 6-3 241 Fr ***** - HS Sr Rushing 975 yds, 9.6 ypc, 15 TD's.
=====

RB Trevor Etienne 5-9 205 So ****
2023 - 131 for 753 yds, 5.7 ypc, 8 TD's
An average receiver coming out of the backfield, but rated as a poor blocker in protection..

Note: After UGly's Spring game, they seem to be saying that he'll at least be one of the starters, if not their primary RB. Smart's talking him up and called him a 'good kid.' Behind the UGly OL, he's prolly at least a serviceable RB....

Does anyone really miss this arrogant drama-queen, his momma's whining, or his NFL brother's advice?
Is there anyone here that wishes that he'd stayed?
Here's to 'Moving On' from the new buttsniffer RB...............
