We have a patient in the ICU that has transverse myelitis that may be secondary to the Covid vaccine. Hard to say for sure because she also has lupus, But she received her second vaccine less than a week ago and now she’s in the ICU on life support with transverse myelitis which has definitely been shown to be associated with the vaccine. It’s similar in some ways to Guillain Barre. The lupus itself could be causing it but the timing is pretty unusual and makes me think pretty strongly this is do the vaccine.

That’s awful. She’s in my thoughts - hope she turns around.

Is she old?

45 but not an Overall healthy 45 but she was walking and talking and living on her own before this happened.

Because of her comorbidities I would’ve offered her the vaccine and encouraged her to get it this is the reality of risk benefit ratio, sometimes bad things happen even when the benefits outweigh the risk. There’s always a risk and that’s why it’s not unreasonable for some people to want to wait a few years to see if it’s worth it.

The HCQ Cocktail, when used early works right now, so still NO to taking a proven deadly vaccine, with still more unknown long term dangers...

BTW, is Beijing Biden and his Rat puppet masters giving FORCED vaccines to the hordes of criminal invading army illegal aliens at the Southern border? No, we'll just let them come on in and spread Co-V all over the U.S., along with many other diseases that they are carrying.....
😡

You’re a complete idiot and so far off base about the hydroxychloroquine cocktail, but if you get sick I hope you get it and I hope it helps you. But it doesn’t do a damn thing for ventilated patients

Prayers for this lady. God Bless.

We’re hitting her hard with the best known treatment so we got a shot to get her better. By the way, @instaGATOR , May interest you to know that she was already on hydroxychloroquine for her lupus at dose is higher than what they used to use for Covid before they found it doesn’t work.
She’s got good care. Godspeed doc. Keep us posted please.

Good for you to post this and not hide it because it “looks bad.” It shows that as a medical profession we are aware of the risks and benefits of each therapy. Despite this tragic case (IF it is due to the vaccine) the vaccines have been extremely beneficial to the vast majority of recipients. They have saved this country lives and helped restore the economy. Hope she is improving.

Yeah I couldn’t agree more. In fact I would have recommended this patient to get the vaccine because she was high risk but everything we do in Medicine has a risk benefit ratio profile and our job as doctors is to pick things that have more benefits then risk whenever possible while still trying to get her patients better or prevent bad diseases.

Oh don’t forget, and pay for their health care!

No, that's incorrect. I have said repeatedly that the HCQ Cocktail needs to be used EARLY, AS SOON AS THE SYMPTOMS ARE DETECTED. If that is done, then the hospital with a ventilator is not needed.

If you wait until they are very sick and put in the hospital on a ventilator, then HCQ will NOT RAISE THE DEAD....

And you have yet to answer this, is you MALPRACTICE insurance all paid up?
Since you AND your kind of doctors KILL over 250,000 patients annually through MEDICAL ERRORS....

And while you may have a UF medical degree, but I'm betting that you just scrapped by with a C average, while sucking up to your professors.
