Is America better off with our biggest global rival owning a major social media platform here in the US?
Or even owning 50% of it?
The real danger here is what we don't know. Technology, AI, etc. are advancing at such a rapid pace we can't possibly predict what we will have and what we will be able to do in even 10 years (or perhaps what we have now that isn't generally known). In that environment its absolutely stupid to allow the Chinese to have this kind of control, this kind of foothold, in ANY social media platform in this country.
So, yes, this flip by Trump is disturbing on multiple levels.

They tried to forgive under the HEROES act. The court rejected forgiveness under that "act". SO, they (Biden admin) tried another law/act. Which is legal and common.

I really wish you would adopt this strategy moving forward: If you aren't able to debate a topic, then avoid the topic. You take every topic you enter and you make it about the posters, not the topic. That degrades conversation and leads to an environment where everyone is yelling at each other.
