Everyone posting to this sports message board has
OPINIONS.
Opinions differ, pretty boring if we all agreed on every point.
Make of the facts/stats, whatever you will and then state your own opinions on what they mean.
2017 = #9 Recruiting Class, 24 commits. -- McLame/Mullen Transition Class
with 7 de-commits in McLame's departing class
2018 = #11 Recruiting Class, 20 commits, without the 'Open Xfer Portal' or NIL advantage in Dan's 1st class.
2019 = #9 Recruiting Class, 26 commits.
Plus 1 incoming xfer, from Louisville, EDGE Jon Greenard who later went on to the NFL.
Grantham recruited him to UL when he was the DC/DL there and re-recruited him to UF.
2020 = #8 Recruiting Class, 24 commits, plus the Xfer Portal opens up:
CB Khamai Ellison **
RB Lorenzo Lingard ****
OG Stewart Reese ****
WR Justin Shorter *****
K Zack Sessa **
OLB Noah Keeter ***
WR Jordan Pouncey ***
OLB Brenton Cox *****
2021 = #12 Recruiting Class, 23 commits + 8 Xfer-in -- Mullen/Napier Transition Class
With 10 de-commits in Dan's departing class.
2022 = #17 Recruiting Class, 21 commits + 6 Xfers in Billy's first full class...
2023 #12 Recruiting Class - 22 commits + 12 Xfer-ins
2024 #12 Recruiting Class - 16 commits + 11 Xfer-ins
In 3 classes (22-23-24) that's 59 recruits to 29 xfer-in.
Incoming to Outgoing Transfers:
2022 - Incoming = 6 -- Outgoing = 22
2023 - Incoming =12 -- Outgoing = 27
2024 - Incoming = 11 -- Outgoing = 14
Last 3 Years - Incoming = 29 --
Outgoing = 63
Billy seems to be trying to make a living on the pre-coached up xfer-ins....
In a coaching transition class, some bail-outs are to be expected.
But when you have 16 HS commits, to 22 bail outs between your 2nd and 3rd season, many of them your own previous seasons recruits, then that doesn't seem like a good deal to me....
(I refuse to be an -----)
And different opinions, using the same facts, are always welcomed by me....
Let's see your own slant/spin, because telling me to STFU ain't gonna get it... 😎
