Hey Gator fans, going to try to make my first Florida game this year with my nephew. Anyone on here from New Jersey or Philadelphia? Tentative game is vs Mississippi State. The budget is kind of tight, but do you think I can get two decent seats for less than $250 on Seatgeek, Stubhub, etc. ? Will be flying out of one of the following—Atlantic City, Trenton, Newark, or Philadelphia. Flying into whichever is cheaper—Jacksonville or Orlando. Flying in either Thursday night or Friday afternoon. Would like to walk around campus and town on Friday. Flying out Sunday. I know college towns gouge on motels on game weekends so will be staying in a Red Roof Inn, Motel 6, etc. outside of town. How far away do you think motels don’t raise rates on game weekends? 30 miles? Are rental cars cheaper at Jacksonville or Orlando airport? Sone colleges have satellite parking lots at shopping malls or office complexes with shuttles to the stadium. Does UF have those? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

As for tickets…just go to Ticketmaster through UF when the tickets go on sale to the general public later this summer…there will be plenty of tickets in your preferred price range. That being said there is some new thing called “sidearm” sports popping up right now for season tickets, so not sure if we will continue using Ticketmaster for single game tickets, which sadgator assumes we will.

As for accommodations, it is the two night minimum that gets you. If you are staying two nights, just suck it up and stay in Gainesville. Staying anywhere else isn’t the same experience and is a pain in the ass given the distances. Check Air B and B type places if the hotel rates are too high. You’ll find something decent.

Good luck.

Anything halfway up is a great seat and you'll see the whole field...just being in the stadium is awesome, the energy is legit. I try and come back home every year and since it's just one game I'm going to be 10 rows up and close to the 50. I'm trying to make the Tennessee game this year. You'll enjoy your experience...I'm expecting a big season. Go Gators!
