Trinity Thomas is SEC Specialist Gymnast of the Week
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - After two event wins in the Gators' road opener, senior Trinity Thomas claims her second consecutive Southeastern Conference Specialist Gymnast of the Week honor.
These are the first two SEC Specialist of Week honors of her career as she's been named the SEC Gymnast of the Week 15 times. Florida's Alyssa Baumann claimed the first SEC Specialist of the Week honor.
Other Week 3 recipients are Raena Worley, Kentucky (Gymnast of the Week) and Lily Hudson, Alabama (Freshman of the Week).
Trinity Thomas - SEC Specialist of the Week:
* Set nation's season high for uneven bars with 9.975 at Georgia. Of the four apparatus, Thomas has posted the nation's high mark of the 2022 for vault (10.0), uneven bars (9.975) and floor exercise (10.0).
* In first balance beam performance of season, won with a 9.95
* In Jan. 24 Road to Nationals standings No. T-1 on floor (10.0), No. T-2 in beam (9.95) and No. T-13 in vault (9.892)
* With her two wins at Georgia, now No. 5 all-time for Gators with 79 event titles
