* I messaged back and forth with Travis Spiva, defensive assistant at American Heritage. He spoke with Andrew Chatfield today at lunch. He said that Chatfield told him that he had an excellent time at Florida, but he still was undecided between the Gators and Miami. There is a chance he could go back to Coral Gables this weekend yet again.

* I asked two sources close to the program who were there this weekend and one said that the feeling is that Florida has locked up Richard Gouraige. The longtime Florida commit had been looking around around but after he and his mother experienced the new staff this weekend, he is back locked down for Florida.

* There was a mixed message on Nick Petit-Frere. While both thought that he and his family had a great weekend at Florida - one believes that he is still very much up in the air, while the other likes UF's chances a bit more. According to one source, he was being asked if he was ready to commit in a playing, but somewhat serious, fashion, and he wouldn't give any indication that he was ready to become a Gator but the vibe was there. However, even in the more serious setting, he told the coaches he was still undecided. That other source though said that Petit-Frere said and carried himself like he was really still up in the air.

Alabama visited with him today. Florida and Ohio State are scheduled to see him on Wednesday.
