As we spiral (down, in my view) deeper, with NIL and now the lawsuit (Rashada) and the NCAA settlement as the latest point of "descent", it brings up the notion of should the Universities just license their facilities, the academic opportunities, etc. and just get out of the ever expanding set of risks and liabilities.

Discussions we have around academic success, "fashioning the characters of men" are increasingly antiquated and outdated notions. College Football is a business. You have talks of unionization, billion dollar contracts, etc. Will players walkout and protest games next year due to Israel? Pick your risk and does the University President and Board really want to have that exposure.

Take Rashada and @Heisman Gator 1 very understandable note that none of them will comment on this board. Of course, not - there are legal considerations. Significant ones especially if punitive damages and their multipliers are being considered.

All they want to see is a winning product on the field and a wonderful experience around the game.

I wish we could snap our fingers and be back in 2004. (minus Zook, lol) We are not. We are in 2024.

It's an interesting consideration.
