In India there is a significant caste system still in place that only lost part of its potency in coming to the U.S.

Japanese have traditionally had a british type mindset to their culture

Chinese, writ-broadly, have a more "working class" culture, but across all three in the U.S., relentless hard work, akin to the Dutch or other Western European cultures has been a defining feature. And guess what, similar to the Jewish population (similar, which I am 1/4th) has led to outperformance in academics, college admissions and soon corporate America as Gen Y and Gen Z become a larger part of the workforce.

Also true for Nigerian Americans.
 
Also...we would benefit in being precise in our definitions of "White Supremacy". Increasingly, I do not think it means the same thing to different groups of people.

White Supremacy used to mean that Whites (esp. in the South) believed, fervently, that they were better than other races, most notably black. I saw it clearly when I grew up.

White Supremacy now seems to be expanded to say that when certain groups (whites) want to retain their culture (much as the native americans, mexicans, etc.) it is re-aggregated back into the original definition.

Much like “racist.” A racist used to be someone who really hated another race. Over the last few years, it seems they've broadened the definition to implicate as many people as possible.

Now, no one cares. And the real racists are emboldened.

When a word is weaponized for political reasons, it works for a while. Eventually, people get wise to it and lose their fear.

White supremacy means if you are a conservative or R we are attaching that label to you. Not because it’s true, but because politics matter more than anything else to dims. We must fundamentally change America at all cost.

Why? Because the number 1 economical power, and biggest representation for freedom in the world……should model itself after socialist, middle of the road economies.

At a minimum, there is significant "unconscious bias" between North and South indians and in castes within the 6 regions and 28 states.

The Atlantic had a powerful article on this about a year ago.

When I was a partner at one of the Big Four, I saw this dynamic happen on consulting, especially large IT projects - often. Overlay the gender element, and you had frequent reportable behavior between individuals of Indian descent.

That's not caste based. I don't like Yankees. That's more comparable.

Generally, the smaller the group of Indians, the better they get along. It's when they get bigger, that they separate into regional lines, Gujuratis, Punjabis, Tamils, etc.

Hell, when I moved to Jax in 87, there was one association. The India Association, had everybody in it. Now they all have their own associations and they won't even celbrate Divali together.

Who is the fool on here that was arguing with everyone about EVs and was bragging about not wasting time at a gas station? Funny how they ignore the time wasted at a charging station, so they can drive another 250 miles before they have to stop again to recharge again. Good luck finding a charging station at nearly every exit.

I posted a real photo of my college roommate and his wife walking in knee deep snow (with a giant iceberg in the background) during their summer cruise to Antarctica a few months ago. (Their summers are our winters). He went bonkers and completely postal. He went from zero to 60 in about 5 posts. 😂
