Do you want to be a critical thinker? If so, awesome. Highly commendable. However, you're not there yet, since critical thinking equates to objective analysis... something you cannot do until you do more research and obtain a larger sampling of sources and viewpoints.

Well I've been researching it long enough to remember when your side called it 'global cooling', and warned of a 5-9 degree DROP in global temperatures by the end of the LAST century. Thus sparking the 'ice age' fears.

That idea didn't sell too well, so it was repackaged as 'global warming'. Seems to be selling about as well although there's a sucker born every minute, it seems.

There was absolutely no scientific consensus that Global Cooling was a real thing back in the 70's, but rather the opposite, with the beginnings of the consensus that we have today around warming. What you may have 'researched' were reports in mass media (eg. Newsweek), doing then that you're doing now... latching onto some minor, non-consensus studies that support a now proven to be incorrect theory, and using the sensationalism of the minority study for their own purposes. Media wanted to sell more magazines. Not sure what your motives are. Net, media stories does not equal scientific, peer reviewed consensus.

Would love to see a citing that you have in your pocket that references a scientific consensus on Global Cooling in the 70's... I'll wait.

As for your Paris Accords question, I honestly missed it... and would have to do a little research on what has happened after Trump's rash decision to bail (talk about a non-critical thinker!). But really your question is moot... regardless of what other governments have done since the US prematurely reneged on the agreement, it doesn't mean the problem does not exist.

Studies aren't facts, they are studies. And often the people conducting the studies either aren't very competent or they are politically motivated, or both.

And studies exist because proof does not. It's used to sell a story to those that want to believe. Even the same studies you cite admit that man-made climate change cannot be proven.

If you want to believe, knock yourself out. Critical thinkers need proof.

That tells the critical thinker that these countries really don't believe that man-made climate change is a threat, or even real.

Action vs words. The critical thinker notes the disconnect. Those that want to believe (in absence of facts), ignore and move on. As we saw here.

If the global temperature is truly increasing at a uniform rate, the number of record COLD temperatures should be decreasing, if not disappearing completely.
